Best WLM Reviews
This place has the best subs all fresh and prepared right in front of you. Fast friendly service, been coming here since 2014.
Delicious sandwiches!!!! Big portions. I saw this place instagram and had to check it out. Definitely will be back. Yum!
After finding them on google For a hot corn beef sandwich. They were really good. the service was great. The people made you feel welcome. I ordered the mile high corn beef sandwich and split pea soup and enjoyed it so much. I took a picture of it. My husband and son had to have it for dinner that night. Lol
I decided to give this neighborhood spot a try while we were in the area, but I was extremely disappointed. They charged $15 for a pastrami sub, and that price doesn’t include any toppings—not even cheese, which costs an extra $1. I ended up paying $71 for four subs, which only come with half a pickle each.
To top it off, I only received three pickle halves instead of four. When I politely asked for the missing half, the cashier (who was both rude and dismissive) opened my bag to double-check as if I were lying over half a pickle. That level of customer service, combined with charging $1 for cheese and $0.30 for onions, is unacceptable.
Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won’t be returning. I had hoped to support a local business, but this was very disappointing.
I'm sorry i wasn't impressed with my order. (2) corned beef sandos. The meat was sliced too thick. I'm a Chicagoan with strong ties to NYC, and, trust me. The east coast knows sandwiches, hoagies, hero whatever you want to call them. Thin cuts, piled high is the method. One more thing. The 4% restaurant fee is a reach. (IL) we can do better!
Did the park and stay at the Hampton Inn, was feeling really hungry so we decided in stop in for a sandwich, ordered two of the mile high corned beef sandwiches. They were absolutely amazing!! We both were ready to do the food walk of shame and go for two more sandwiches but our stomached wouldn’t let us. Service super friendly!!!
Al & Joe’s was recommended to us from a friend who lived in the area. We finally decided to try it out and we found our new spot. The staff were very welcoming and explaining everything to us, you can tell they enjoy what they do. The food as well is super delicious. We got the Herbie, American Sub, Oreo cheesecake, Reeses cheesecake and a toffee heath cookie! Can’t wait to go back. Definitely a must try place!
Very delicious sub sandwiches! I had the Hughie and thought the flavors were well blended as well as very seasoned! Customer service was amazing and they have an area where u can sit down and eat
