Best WLM Reviews
negative stars due to the receptionist being so rude and just out right disrespectful and hung up on me. no one like that should ever be i this line of work you dealing with parents of and or people with special needs! never do i write reviews or get upset like this. And i work in customer service. you mom should take you back and teach you common human decency and then get in a different field. she didn't give a name and i am sure that is why!
Went here for a year or two. The psychiatrist is fine, the assistant psych is fine. Nothing noteworthy. The therapist is great though! Desk lady is super rude and dismissive. Makes the pain of being there 10x worse
Would give no stars if possible. Front desk is very rude and dismissive. This is a place for people who need help and unfortunately the person who's at the front doesn't care. She needs a new job and they need to hire more caring people.
Both of the doctors here are great. They make it a point each visit to try to get feedback from my son. They don’t just want to hear from me and that’s huge. They have been receptive to my concerns about the amount of meds my son takes and they have listened to me when I ask them to take him off of a med. They do have strict office policy but honestly, having worked in the mental health field myself, it’s necessary sometimes. I have only one complaint about this place and that is when my son had Covid and we canceled his appointment early Monday morning because we found out over the weekend, they counted him a no show and informed me that if I have two more he would be dropped. I haven’t had the same experiences with ‘rude front desk staff’ but I think that’s because I always approach them with respect. ????????♀️
I have been a patient here off and on for the last 10 years. I strictly see Dr. Al-Botros and he has always taken great care in addressing my mental health needs. He listens to my concerns and I can tell he tries to understand the root of the problems rather than just throwing scripts at it. I am not currently a patient but that is because I was able to overcome some mental health issues by implementing lifestyle changes recommended by this office. Katherine (she is not the receptionist) has always gone above and beyond to make sure I was able to both receive proper and timely care. I have not had anyone take the extra time like she has at a doctors office to make sure I'm doing okay. Always kind and polite. Given the nature of the practice I'm sure that there will always be disgruntled patients here and there for one reason or another. I felt it important to share my experience because I made it through some tough times with the help of everyone at this practice. Very thankful!
So I’m not currently a patient anymore. I’m going to explain why, because I am just frustrated with my experience here. I was recently asked about why I quit going here by a friend, and was made upset by the experience again.
I am going to start with the fact that this provider is in network with my insurance, and my insurance allowed a $50 copay per visit. I payed my copay every single visit.
Probably around my 3rd visit, I was confronted by the front desk lady that, “I need to make a payment.” She said it in a snooty manner. I was confused, because I had made my copay every appointment. I asked her about the payment and what it could be for since I paid my copay every visit, and she said, “We don’t go over that here, you’ll have to call billing.” Again, very rude in her delivery. Also, if you’re not able to discuss what my payment is for…maybe you shouldn’t bring it up?
Regardless, after my appointment I called the billing department. I hadn’t received any mail billing at this point either I should note, I think I got the mailed bill a couple weeks later.
They charged me $250 for a NEW PATIENT fee. For an in-network provider. It was not discussed/disclosed in any of the paperwork. I’ve never gone to a doctor before and had a “new patient” bill.
I was informed that I couldn’t continue coming to my appointments until that $250 was paid. I stopped my medication cold turkey and never went back.
I didn’t directly have any issues with the providers services, but found this to be a really bad way to run “business”, on top of the lack of customer service for a place that asks $250 for being a new patient.
Not to mention when I asked for a referral for therapy to go alongside my medication, the therapist never got back to me. I called days apart and left messages both times. The therapist was within the facility if I recall properly.
I have been a patient here for over 12 years Dr B is a good doc he has always listened to me in my experiences with him. His PA Mary Schleck is gem and an excellent listener . There are all types of individuals that come here for their mental health so you have to be very mindful of that . All of his staff are friendly , medical assistants and undergrads that come and go have all been pleasant are friendly. However there one individual that seems to dislike her job. She will remain nameless but if you’ve been a patient for as long as I have you’ll know whom I’m speaking about. This is my first ever review and I never like to bad mouth anyone especially staff and Drs I see regularly but I’ve seen reviews and see the same things written about this person. She has been rude to me on one real occasion years ago after I asked to get my daughter’s psychiatrist papers for her pediatrician dr to write up and still be able to determine her need for physical therapy and occupational to be seen . I’ve just finally just figured out she’s not having a bad day but always that way so I try to stay out of her way since killing her with kindness doesn’t seem to work . On most every time I do need to call in to change appointment if something dire comes up or check on my script if something isn’t going through to pharmacy and she answers she will always hang up on me after i try to nicely ask to leave a message to relay to dr i don’t get it ? If you can get past her rude attitude you will find these Drs will give you great care. I would like to put in a good word and say Pauline who is the little brunette who manages the front desk has always been polite to me and all their patients I’ve seen her deal with. Don’t ever let that one person lady that usually does books discourage you from being seen if you really need to be seen . I would really like to give this office a 5 star ⭐️ however due to her behavior I’ll stick to a 4 . Be well and always look forward to tomorrow! ☺️
Update:
Kathrine at the front desk called me to let me know due to this negative review, Dr. Al was dropping my child as a patient altogether! Dr. A, if you are indeed reading this, look at all the other one star reviews and see where the problem really lies. Not to mention, you wrote the script that was one week short, causing this problem in the first place! I hope you enjoy Italy, I'll be sure to let Bridges Behavioral Health know how you treat patients once out of their care.
Original:
He was great when he came to my son's school program, his office is a completely different story. He wrote my child a new RX for an ADHD med and it ran out a week before their next appointment, and the day of school starting. After calling multiple times the receptionist very rudely proclaimed "you've already called and it will go out after 5!" and hung up on me! When I called back she was still rude as can be, and told me it was due to computer issues and there was nothing they could do and that she was just as frustrated as I was. Yes, you are as frustrated as a father sending his child to school the first day without their medication that helps them function in school. Broken equipment does not give them the right to be rude or short with patients that depend on them. Find another doctor. His office isn't worth the trouble!
