Best WLM Reviews
Here’s a concise and heartfelt review you can use:
Akshaya Patra provides excellent food and top-notch service! The quality and quantity of the food are perfect. A special mention to the kind lady who takes orders—yesterday, I arrived late for lunch, and although the restaurant had closed, she graciously allowed me and my friends to have our meal. Her generosity and understanding were truly heartwarming. God bless her and the entire team for their wonderful service! Highly recommended!
The food was excellent. Service was great and the food was perfect. My new favorite Indian restaurant. Definitely recommend and do not leave without trying their desserts ????
Really enjoyed our dinner. Had the butter chicken, which was very tasty. We also tried the Chicken Kothu Parotta. We’d never had this before, but it was very flavorful and fun to eat; this was the first time I’d had anything quite like this classic Indian street dish. The desert (Apricot delight) had cheesecake like texture with apricot and crushed nuts; it was a delight indeed !
A friend of mine has been on the search for a great Indian restaurant in our general area and has been trying various restaurants over the past year or so.
She invited us to join her in her latest restaurant visit, Akshaya Patra. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant smells absolutely amazing. The blend of spices and smells in the air is wonderful. The menu is quite varied and it was hard narrowing down our choices. I, being a creature of habit, choose the chicken tika masala as it tends or be my test food at restaurants when I compare. Also ordered butter naan to go with the dish as well.
Food arrived fairly quickly, complimented by some very fragrant and tasty rice and the butter naan. Spice (heat level) wise, I can't handle much beyond mild, so I was very appreciative of a mild, medium, and hot option for the dish. The mild was very flavorful without being "hot" and was excellently seasoned.
In general, our entire party was quite happy with their meals. There was a lot left over so many to-go containers were used by everyone for taking home.
Overall, it is absolutely a restaurant I would visit again to work my way through the menu. Indian food is not generally a go-to for me given my issue with spice (hot) so I have only had it a handful of times at various restaurants but from what I have had, this was my favorite for sure.
They do have an outdoor seating area that could be great on a warm (not cold winter like when we visited) night.
Amazing decor, great flavor. Tried mushroom pepper fry and jackfruit biryani. Amazing food, great service. Definitely must try. I’m vegetarian hard to find good vegetarian Indian food this definitely beats anyone nearby.
So first a disclaimer I am allergic to Capsaicin so I cannot eat spicy food, but I went and tried Akshaya with a large group of people. The waitress was super nice and helped me pick out Butter Chicken as my entree which they made very mild. It had good flavors but was really just seasoned tomato soup with chicken chunks so I thought it was overpriced. The basmati rice was delicious. I ordered plain naan and got 3 small triangular slices so I thought that was overpriced as well. Everyone else at the table seemed happy with their meals, they all got spicy entrees - the Biryani looked delicious but couldn't be made mild. The waitress at first said she could not do separate checks but then figured out how to handle it - she took our orders with the hand held device then after we were done eating we each went to the front where we told her what we had and she rang up each order again on the register.
We ordered takeout for the first time since they replaced Crown of India. We were worried bc we loved crown of india, but The food was really, really good! Service was good as well. My only suggestion would be to add descriptions of the menu items so people who aren't familiar with ALL the different cuisine items can maybe try something new if they wanted to or know the difference btwn items (there were a few different types of samosas but we didn't know which one was the one we always get from other Indian restaurants, again - bc there were no descriptions). We will def be back! We want to try the buffet!
This is an amazing place to eat!!! The Butter chicken is perfectly spiced and fluffy rice is perfectly cooked! The chicken falls apart and we can't go without the Garlic Naan!! We always get 2 orders ! Hubby had the Tandoori chicken! Delicious!! The aroma was alluring when we walked through the door! We were served by a sweet nice girl. She was polite and made sure our order was perfect. Atmosphere has a soft lighting with beautiful decor. Great for a date night or meeting up with old friends! You have to stop by! It's terrific!!
