It's a decent all you can eat sushi place. Nothing really stood out as amazing. The wife was sad there was no egg drop soup. My rolls were good. I got the teriyaki beef, and the flavor was there, but it was cooked to shoe leather.
Food came out quick, but trying to get a drink refill did not go well.

I'm here in Scottsdale on business and picked this off of the listing of sushi, places on Google.
Who would imagine that an all-you-can-eat sushi place would be this good?!

This is how it's done.
We had the all you can eat menu. Fantastic and all made to order. They had gluten-free soy sauce for me. The Sashimi was fresh, and the specialty rolls I could eat were all flavorful. I had a lot of butter pecan ice cream for dessert. Dinner is a value for the quality and amount of food you can eat. I highly recommend it.
Just realized we'd never left a review- and have been coming here for years. A little more difficult now that we don't live in the Phoenix area, but still worth the drive. Every time we've been we've had all you can eat, and all of it is delicious. And consistent over time- a super hard feat to pull off. We even saw some of the original staff during our last visit in June 2024- from the first time we came here nearly 10 years ago. Now that's saying something! Straightforward rolls and sashimi, yummy soups and seaweed salad, as well as perfect edamame and even good tempura dishes. They do insist on you finishing what you order on all you can eat, or they will charge, and that is awesome- not only "green", but just plain sensible. Doesn't look like much from the outside, in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you from stuffing yourself here. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable for all you can eat, lunch or dinner.
I’ve been going to Akita for many years and it really has never changed. Most of the all you can eat places are a little farther for us so we enjoy having this near by. Quality of the fish I think is the same across the current AYCE in phoenix and good for the price. I personally like to go for the lunch price as it seems more bang for your buck. They always have steady and quick service. The atmosphere feels pretty old but it’s clean and I’m there to stuff my face with sushi so it doesn’t bother me. probably wouldn’t go here for a romantic date
We love Akita Sushi! It is in a pretty convenient place and always has people inside, but thankfully rarely packed! The all you can eat for 18.95 lunch special is pretty reasonable. All the Sushi is made to order so you can get exactly what you want. All the rolls are excellent, but they also have a good collection of tempura options, and also many different types of Nigiri. Highly recommend!
I would come here than somewhere else for unlimited sushi! They are great. Service is quite slow
My mom received the blessing of getting a liver and kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic and after a long day being at the hospital we came here for dinner and it definitely did not disappoint food was fresh delicious and service was fast.
