Best WLM Reviews
I have to say this place was fantastic!! I was a bartender for 5 years in a sushi hibachi restaurant back in Minneapolis before moving down here to DFW.. Akita has to be the best overall place to get your sushi ????
*Sushi on point ????Two Thumbs up Roll, Monster Roll, Phoenix Roll
*DRINKS ON POINT ???? (lychee blossom, Midori sour, Sapporo !DRAFT! and hot sake)
The atmosphere was great! Alvan (the bartender) was awesome, knew his menu and definitely knows how to make drinks. Bob (the owner) was great, helped out his staff when they got busy, and was very informative when we talked with him about his restaurant, which he has proudly ran the past 14 years.
10/10 and I will be going back to try the Hibachi next!
I’ve now been here twice. I’m not sure I’ll be back. The veggies are pre cooked, then cooked again at the hibachi station, seems to be overcooking it. The salad dressing seemed like a very low grade option. The flavor was not there. By my 3rd drink, I started to like them. The 2 prior just wasn’t the good for the prices. The garlic butter wasn’t like Benihana, it was just melted salted butter with seasoning at the bottom. The Miso soup had a good flavor. The restroom was clean but had a foul odor which smelled like from someone not the establishments doing. It gets pretty crowded fast so there could possibly be a wait time. Kids are welcome.
Let me be honest and start by saying that I've never actually dined in, but I look forward to doing so very soon. The service when I walk in to place an order has always been a pleasant experience. This is also how I'm aware that the atmosphere is very inviting because they're always busy anytime I've walked in to place my order for takeout. Today, I actually ordered online, which was also very easy to do, and you can still customize your order. I've never had an issue with my order, it's is always exactly how I order it. The portions are nice size for the price and they give you enough to get full. My go-to spot in the Cedar Hill/surrounding area for good fried rice. When I dine in for Hibachi, I plan to have the salmon. If you've been wondering about this place, I'd give them a try. It's worth the time and the money.
On 06/22- I placed an order over the phone for pick up. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass 6 OZ Hibachi for $42.99. Over the phone the staff member was helpful, however while picking up my food, I noticed that the young man at the front door was sarcastic about the tip he received. He gave a smirk, rolled his eyes and said thanks. Interestingly enough the young lady that assisted me did the same. Entitled I say. Customer Service truly can make or break a restaurant...also clean bathrooms but I digress. The sea bass was mediocre at best. To be honest, I was disappointed and wish i had defrosted what I had and cooked it myself. Everything was fresh and I appreciated that. It came with mixed vegetables, I chose steam rice over fried, soup and salad. One thing I can say is about the soup. It is not the true hibachi mushroom soup that I love. It was more of just a clear broth or onion soup that lacked flavor. I've been here before...this is why I gave it a three. Hopefully, I will have a better experience.
Come with my mom for my birthday and we were seated immediately. Eventually our table filled up with others celebrating as well. I ordered a liquid MJ to drink and this was a very tasty drink. For dinner, my mom and I ordered the house deluxe for two add fried rice (which is an up-charge). This is a typical hibachi spot and the food is cooked on a large flat top grill. Overall, it was an ok experience but I did experience heartburn for the next day or so.. so be weary of all the butter, etc.!
Went there for a birthday dinner. Service was great and the presentation and chef was spectacular! I ordered steak and chicken hibachi and the portions were huge.
The chefs are incredibly skilled and entertaining, making the entire dining experience both fun and delicious. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for a night out with family or friends!
First time coming here and I must say the food was not bad, however our waitress Stephanie had a horrible attitude and made it a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience for me and my husband. This is definitely not what we expected but we will not end our night like this we will go off and find a place where we can enjoy ourselves. God bless have a good night!
