I enjoyed a great hibachi combo in the dining room and my wife really enjoyed the sashimi. This is a great little byob in Voorhees. They also have really great lunch specials.
The food was ok, it is pretty salty but not bad. The hostess wasn't very friendly and they were not busy at all. My mom, my daughter and I went on Saturday around 2, the day before mothers day, and we were the only ones there for hibachi. The price isn't too bad. They are BYOB.
I enjoyed the hibachi dining experience overall. The food, while okay, didn't stand out in terms of taste. The quantity of the dishes was satisfying, and the hibachi performance was entertaining. The service was prompt and attentive. However, I found the prices a bit high for the overall experience. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, enhancing the dining ambiance.
I cannot express how much i love this restaurant. my family comes here for every birthday for YEARS. It our favorite hibachi spot around. The food ALWAYS comes out quickly and it tastes amazing. if i could give them more than five stars i would.
Came here for my daughter's birthday and it was a fun experience. We had never been to a Hibachi restaurant. The Hibachi chef was entertaining and interactive. Now let's get to the food the Hibachi comes with miso soup, salad, rice, veggies , 2 shrimp and what other protein you choose. The food was good but everything on the grill had the same flavor note. Steak was cooked to the proper temp which is always a plus. Salad has a flavorful ginger dressing. Along with Hibachi you can order off the menu as well. Sushi was fresh and delish but my Kani salad was a bit dry. The food comes out fast so you are not waiting long.They do make the birthday person feel special with a song and sparkler. If you want to sit and chat with your group, I'd recommend coming later in the day because they get you in and out within an hour. I will come back and try the non Hibachi side on the restaurant.
Akira is a nice sushi and hibachi restaurant in the Rt 561 Voorhees Acme strip mall. Restaurant is in 3 sections, hibachi to the left, Sushi bar, tables and big screen TV showing hockey game and a 3rd section to the right. Thursday evening around 730 place was about half full. Ordered the 20 piece Sashimi regular ($25), came with very tasty miso soup and small salad. Sashimi plate was arranged with two servings of fish shaped into a flower bud and looked very appetizing. My server also asked and brought a bowl of rice to accompany my delicious meal. Restaurant has very dim lighting and appeared very clean. Service was attentive and quick. Only negative is I only had a few sips of soup and a mouthful of salad when my sashimi was delivered, seemed a little rushed. Overall a very good meal.
Upscale dining in casual atmosphere with the freshest sushi around. Chefs are amazing and service really good. Hot hibachi or sushi, in the neighborhood! BYOB keeps the price more affordable and selection up to you!
Generous portions of Spicy Kani Salad and Seaweed Salad, but I've had better Spicy Kani Salad.
BYOB so we were able to bring and enjoy our wine.
My favorite was the California Beach Roll. The seasonal roll was interesting & had almonds - unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it.
