Incredible! Visiting the Phoenix area and have to say Ajo Al’s is the place for great tasting food, friendly service, and welcoming ambiance. Spent a week in Phoenix and had to visit this place twice! We couldn’t help ourselves… food is reasonably priced for the quality and quantity you receive. You won’t be disappointed!!
They are attentive and always smiling. The food has so much flavor and so cozy and comfortable. I love it here. I ordered the Salad Carbon with shrimp and my Husband ordered the lunch special burro enchilada style under $20!!!
Ajo Al’s offers good service, with friendly and attentive staff. The food servings are just the right size, so you leave feeling satisfied without being overly full. The dishes are reasonably seasoned, though those who prefer bolder flavors might find them a bit mild. The ambiance is decent—not particularly new or old, but comfortable. Overall, it's an okay place for a meal.
We got the cheese crisp with guac and carnitas tacos. Everything was really good! The free chips and salsa were great and the carnitas was juicy and delicious
I love the food, ambience, service, everything about Ajo Al's! Keep up the great work
$20 for two tiny pieces of flan haphazardly thrown in a box? GTFOH! Missed the strawberries all together but sent a bag of chips and salsa????
I’m glad I didn’t dump the salsa all over the sorry excuse for flan thinking it was strawberry preserve. This was a mistake that will never be repeated ever again.
Love this place. Wish it wasn't so far away! Love the fajitas. Always have great service. Lunch specials are great if you can get there during a weekday. Can't wait to go back. Good rewards program too.
I got a call from a childhood friend who was in Phoenix with her husband for a week-long conference. Hadn't spent any time with them in decades. My wife and I drove up from Tucson, and Ajo Al's is where we went for dinner. What a great choice. My friends are from a very rural community in the Southeastern U.S. and were amazed at the food at Al's -- "the real deal" they called it. Yep. Icing on the cake: it was Arizona Restaurant Week so we got SO much food and drinks for a very good set price. I wish I remembered the young fellow's name who took care of us. He did a great job. I was proud to have offered such a perfect Southwestern dining experience for my old friends. We'll be back!
