Breakfast was delicious! The tater tots were hot and crispy and the crab was super fresh. The coffee was good and the orange juice was from fresh squeezed oranges and the whipped cream was freshly made. The service was perfect. There's even a child's menu! There were high end and sophisticated touches through out. Plenty of Breakfast cocktails to choose from on the menu and even seafood with breakfast. The interior was very posh and the setting was very serene; bonus was that we had a creekside view. We received a $5 gift card from our vacation rental at Sunset Bay which made this experience even more pleasant. 10/10 would go again!
AJ’s on the Creek did not disappoint. We had a lovely family dinner. The Mahi taco app special was the star of the show. Love the Pom mojitos as well. The meal overall was consistent. The atmosphere was pleasant and the drinks were very good. I think overall this was somewhere between 4 and 5 stars for me. The value for the meal was slightly over yet all in all I would go back.
We went to sit out on the water for lunch and was told the outside was closed so that wasn't great but did get seated next to the water inside. The hostess wasn't that friendly but our waitress was very nice. I think she had to many tables though bc we waited a while before we could wave her over to bring us a sauce we needed and then later for the check. We had the coconut shrimp for our appetizer and that was really good! My husband had the flounder sandwich and said it was very good and was a good size. I had a hamburger, it was just ok but the fries were really good
We went on a Friday night with a reservation and had a beautiful table outside on the patio. The view during sunset was really pretty. The food was great, it was our favorite meal during our 4 day weekend. They surprised us with a birthday cake and song since I noted it was a birthday on the reservation, which was so nice of them to do without me asking. Highly recommend!
Delicious, well-seasoned, tasty food served hot! Best cream of crab soup we have ever tasted, and we're blue crab Marylanders! Super fresh salads. Service was a little slow, but the food was well worth the wait! Excited to come back to Chincoteague again some day to try AJ's on the Creek's dinner fare.
Delicious! Very pricey but you get what you pay for. The shrimp are huge and delicious scallops were very flavorful and the blackened rockfish was great! Calamari are def a hit! They even grow herbs and go and cut them fresh. Very impressed! Waitress was outstanding!
We stopped for breakfast the morning after the 4th of July, which was our first mistake. The restaurant definitely didn't bring their A game.
The atmosphere is intending to be more upscale than other options on the island, and we were initially drawn in by the menu. It wasn't busy and we were sat right away. They have a parking lot and indoor and outdoor seating. They have kid menus too.
Our server did not look well and we felt bad, but it was a really subpar experience.
We ordered a cheese omelet, the shrimp and grits, and Oscar Benedict. Our son loved his omelet. The shrimp and grits were dripping in oil, and it seemed like the fried the andouille and then poured all the grease in the bowl. The Oscar Benedict was incredibly sad with unseasoned crab thrown on the plate and what seemed to be a Thomasville English muffin, untoasted. The tater tots are great, though.
It's a very good place for dinner. It was not too expensive for the good food we got. The service and the patio were pleasant.
