Best WLM Reviews
Don’t waste your time and money.
Upon arriving at my check-in time, I, along with another customer, waited twenty minutes at the front desk before calling the number listed on the sign that states “Busy with guest, be back momentarily.” The guy who answered said he would be there right away. Five minutes later, he came and checked me in.
Getting into my room, I see that the TVs lack remotes and there is orange powder residue on my blankets.
I tried the breakfast my first morning here, and the gravy was cold that came straight from the warmer. The man preparing the breakfast was aware I was getting it and even watched as I ate, but said nothing.
The hotel offers ice through an ice machine on the first floor, so I went and tried to get some. A piece of chewed gum came out of the ice machine.
I was happy that there is washer/dryer provided, as advertised on Hotels.com and other places where this is listed. However, I notice that the washer and dryer must be paid for separately by quarters. This hotel is already being paid for, and guests have to pay for this service separately? This is not an included amenity; it is separate. This is a scam.
Lastly, the staff don’t acknowledge you as you enter and exit, but they just play and talk on their phones or just stare at you, even if you say hi.
Don’t bother coming here unless you’re strapped for money. Get an AirBnB or an apartment rented out as a “hotel” instead.
Edit:
Vending machine has expired food.
I never got room service past the first day.
Found this little guy crawling on me the next morning. Some type of mite or bedbug, I can't tell. I was only staying for one night and their only offer was to move me to a different room. So just be aware that there are some cleanliness issues with this place. Only good thing about this property was the location since it's close to the highway. The free breakfast was terrible so I went next door for food instead.
Was very happy to find this place. Spur of the moment had it figured out till life came up... they got me right in at a wonderful price. The room was clean and welcoming. The staff was amazing. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone I can.
While our room was fine for staying one night, there was an outlet that really needs to be looked at as the lamp wouldn't stay on unless the cord was in a certain spot. Breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast although the temperature of the food could have been warmer. But, what made this hotel nice was the fact that my daughter left a charger in the room and we didn't realize that until we received a phone call from them. They offered to mail the charger if we had already left the area! We actually were still in the area so I went later that day to pick it up. But to me, that shows a business that cares about their clientele! Most hotels will keep items for a while I'm sure but they wouldn't call you about them! That was very much appreciated!
The location of the hotel is not in the nicest area, which is to be expected at this price point. The building is old, but could be in worse condition. We stayed in a queen suite with a sofa bed, which was a good size room with two separate living spaces. The toilet bowl was dirty, and the coffee maker still had the last guest’s coffee packet in it. Everything in the room worked except the deadbolt on the door. ||Breakfast was disappointing - coffee was nearly empty and cold; the ham was tiny lunch meat slices that were overcooked, cold, and crunchy. There was a waffle machine, which was great, but there was no butter to put on the waffles. There was a carafe of milk in the fridge that was crusty and looked like it had been refilled but had not been cleaned for weeks. ||Overall our stay could have been worse, but I wouldn’t return unless it was an emergency and I didn’t need breakfast in the morning.
My experience at this hotel was unacceptable. I arrived (with my mother) late at night. In the first room we were given, the sink in the bathroom had collapsed. There were large chunks of rock on the floor, as well as several pieces of wood that had been used to try and prop the sink up instead of repairing it.
After complaining twice, we were moved to another room. There, the sleeper couch had no linens. I asked for sheets to put on it and was informed that there were no clean sheets (or pillows) anywhere in the hotel. When I questioned that, the night clerk said he would check again and returned with a set of sheets that was very clearly not clean. It seems like they pulled something out of the hamper and gave it to me in order to shut me up. At that point it was after 3 A.M., so we gave up and made do with what we had.
Neither room should have been rented out to anyone. The first room obviously had not been cleaned or even checked, or else they would have seen the problem in the bathroom. And if a hotel is unable to supply clean sheets for a room then it should not rent the room out and hope it's not an issue. That is especially true during a pandemic, when cleanliness is of crucial importance.
When I called to complain and ask for a refund, the woman working the desk told me the manager would call me back. They did not. Then I tried to contact the hotel through booking.com. They were also unable to get anyone to respond for more than a week. Finally, I called the front desk again. The man who answered told me that because we had slept in the room they would not offer any sort of refund or discount. I had to call the corporate line and explain the entire situation again, at which point they offered me 25 percent of my bill back.
Everything about my experience was unacceptable. If this is how the owners of the hotel want to run things then they deserve to be out of business. Do not stay here.
This Best Western was by far the worst chain we have every stayed at. From check in to check out nothing would rate 2 star. Customer service was missing if you could even find help. Coffee was cold and what little food they had was nasty. Maintenance is needed in the bathroom, microwave isn't working and the elevator is scary to say the least. As we travel a lot I thought we would try someplace different and BW was selected. Never again.
Did i forget to mention after a 3 day staff the cleaning staff provided us with a nice loud bang on the door at 8am. I must assume they wanted us out so they could come in and take a break or something as they certainly aren't doing much cleaning.

From first impression it looks great, and the staff are friendly. However, our floors and sofa had dog hairs that got all over my sons new clothes. The pull out bed sofa had food under the mattresses, and mouse poo in the sleeping mattress. The bathroom door had what looked like blood in both sides. The bed mattress was very comfortable. Our neighbors said they saw a rodent in their room across the hall from us which explained our sofa. This hotel has lots of potential but it just needs cleaned. We didn't eat the free continental breakfast because we were scared of the cleanliness of where it was prepared. However, don't go to Bob Evans in front of the hotel. We should have checked their reviews first.
