I have stayed here several times with and without my ADA complaint dog. Tonight I showed up and told pets are only allowed in one corner of the buildings. I stated I need an accessible room, those apparently are NOT pet friendly. I stated that it is technically against the law to put an ADA complaint service animal in "pet room" when a request has been made and that true ADA complaint dogs will have a problem with a pet room due to the hundreds of animals that stay in it being a HUGE DISTRACTION. Sure enough, my dog sniffed for 30 minutes. This is not usual behavior. I can't count how many ADA compliant violations there are at this facility. And the fact that Washoe county says they can do this is ludicrous. Oh, and there is a huge paper you have to sign in you have an ADA dog! I guess a pet is excused from the paperwork
I am literally in the very last room furthest from the front desk, the restaurant, the airport shuttle and I have a toilet so low, with a torn hip, it is excruciating to get up.
I don't dare hobble 200 yards to the restaurant/bar to eat. I can only imagine my ADA complaint dog and I will be harassed when entering.
This was such a nice place. The feeling tonight was almost hostile.
As for the rooms, yes they are dated but beds are comfortable for a night or two. The interior grounds are rather serene. And having an on site eatery is nice...if you are not crippled with an ADA service animal and put as far away as you can get and no room service.
This PET room smells horrible.

I was given a reservation at another Hotel in Reno, in which the room was dirty and unacceptable, the surrounding area was very questionable. I called the company that made my reservation telling them then condition of the room, they immediately made a new reservation to this Hotel. The staff were helpful in signing me in, the room was spotlessly clean, beautiful room, and since I had a service dog with me, the room had a bed for him as well with a little bag of doggie treats. I would recommend this Hotel, Also the parking area had cameras watching the cars parked there, I felt safe parking my car in their parking lot.
We booked a last-minute single bed room in the pet friendly area of the hotel. Guest services were extremely helpful and came to find us as soon as the room was ready while we checked out the beautiful lobby and grabbed a happy hour drink in the bar!
The room itself, with one king-sized bed, was extremely spacious and impressed us immediately. We had been provided with a cushy large-dog-sized pet bed, dog treats, and bags for picking up their business! Everything was clean, and they even provided a fresh remote that was presumably sanitized for each guest. We had a sliding door to the outside, which made unpacking and packing the car a breeze. This door did face the highway, but the walls and windows were sufficiently soundproofed that the sounds did not bother us at all.
The bathroom was practically spotless, and we and the pets were more than comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to people traveling with or without pets. Overall a great experience.
Great place to stay! Room was clean & the bar waitress was very friendly as well as our one at breakfast the next day.
Only real disappointment was that, after a long 8 hour day if riding down on our motorcycles , we were told that the hot tub was closed as well as the pool! What a bummer.
On a positive note, the rooms were very quiet being that close to the airport.
Good place to get some rest after a long flight! Zero noise. Couldn't hear any planes even though we were super close to the airport.
The name of this hotel changed to Best Western Sure Stay Plus.... The property once you get inside is really nice. Outside seating areas, shaded with huge trees,and the ability to order room service. While sitting in front of s fireplace. They are constantly cleaned it and it shows. The lobby has a bar, restaurant,and a coffee shop. Check in is smooth and easy. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are soft. Even though it's across the street from the airport the noice is not an issue. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's numbering system for the rooms is confused. I will almost always get lost.
I stayed at the Best Western Airport Plaza in Reno Nv one night because I had an early flight the next morning. I asked for a quiet room so I was on the 3rd floor. The staff was helpful and friendly. My room was clean and looked nice. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was pretty good. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. They have a 24 hour shuttle service, it took about 5 minutes and the driver was there and I made it to the airport in plenty of time to catch my flight. If you have an early flight, this is the place to stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable, friendly service and close to the airport! And a great shuttle service!
We have a lab and we came here last minute and there was no trouble getting us in! The lady at the desk was very friendly also. The room we stayed in was great. We were very surprised at the ( BIG ) dog bed, a doggie blanket, 2 rather large biscuit treats, and some baggies!
The restaurant there has nice food, it was really yummy.
Very nice, I definitely recommend this place if you're traveling with pets.
