This hotel canceled our reservation without notice so that when we arrived in Orlando on a long weekend we had NO PLACE to stay and everything was completely sold out. We almost had to stay at the airport overnight. If you're going to cancel someone's reservation, at least have the decency to do it within a reasonable timeframe and give a heads-up. Terrible etiquette.
An additional piece of information in case it's helpful to someone else: they have no airport shuttle.
The hotel and room were clean and open. The front desk and all employees were very helpful. My room was nice, they provided extra toiletries and garbage bags in the room. Extra towels are available from the desk anytime. Housekeeping is great, but you have to request housekeeping at the front desk. Breakfast was great every day. Multiple restuaunts and corner markets within walking distance. The only bad thing I can say is I saw a cockroach in my room.
We stayed with a group of 12 for our cruise (02/2024). Shuttle picked us up at the airport (only waited about 15 minutes for them after I called to let them know we had arrived). The driver was very friendly and welcoming. Quick trip to the hotel - no issues. Front desk staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The hotel could use some minor repairs and some updating but overall it was perfect for our needs, especially for the price. Breakfast was good -- it was busy and the breakfast room was small, but staff kept up. Pool was extremely cold but that might be normal for that time of year - safe to say it's not heated. Nice little Waffle House restaurant next door and several restaurants/gas stations within walking distance (or ordering distance through Uber, etc.). Not much of a selection in their hotel "store" (sodas, etc) but as stated gas station was across the street. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here after our cruise. For the couple pros it was a big room, and it was clean. The beds were fairly comfortable. The rest is kind of negative all around. When we got there, the lobby was crowded from people waiting for a shuttle. The front desk staff were kind of slow as it has never really taken me so long to check in. We were there early and were able to check in early, but they charged us an early check-in fee. It's not a big deal, I guess, because we were happy to be able to check in rather than just drop off luggage. But we have checked in early for free at other places. When we went up to the 5th floor to go to our room, it reeked of weed or something that smelled the same. Since it is non-smoking, that was a little concerning, and we continued to smell it in our room at times. The next morning, we went down to get breakfast at 9:30 after packing to find they close at that time. We figured it would be open till at least 10. We didn't realize this at first, and the staff was a little rude and refused to help us. We ended up going over to the waffle house, which we would recommend, but we wouldn't recommend this hotel.
I stayed here one night prior to catching a cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral. The hotel is in very poor shape and had a weird smell the entire time that I was there. That being the case, it’s not the worst part of this hotel which would be the really poor customer service. I would discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. They also do not provide the shuttle services at the hours posted on the front desk. I could not get a shuttle to or from the airport as advertised. Moreover, the front desk agent was incredibly rude and clearly has not received adequate training. This hotel deserves the very low rating that it has. Don’t stay there if you would like to have a decent experience. It’s not worth any money that you might save.
Edit: Nice try pr team. The pre-written response was nice but give your staff a raise and we're even.
Mold. There was mold everywhere on the ceiling. A musky smell emanating from the ac. The shower drain barley worked. We were promptly switched to a slightly better room that still had the musky smell and this time the mold was confined to the curtains. Oh and this time the sink barely drained. The staff however were wonderful. Shame about whoever is responsible for the repairs and upkeep of the place.
Absolute worst Best Western experience that I have ever had! Do not stay here!! I had a confirmation for a King suite. When I arrived, I checked in and they sent me to a dingy tiny stinky room with one double bed. I immediately called the desk and stated that I had a confirmation for a king suite. The gentleman at the desk was nice. He told me to come to the desk. He said there were no King suites available. He put me in a queen suite for the night and told me to come to the desk at 11 the next day to get a King suite. When I did so, the guy
( another employee) looked at me like I had two heads... I was frustrated at that point and decided to just stay put. The shower in our bath continuously ran after shut off. You had to turn it off and on 4 times to get it to stop. The shower curtain wouldn't stay put and the tub was curved and tiny. After 4 days of no maid service, garbage piling up, no new towels given , a smelly room and cocktail roaches, I was done. We also had to have our room key rebooted every time we left the room. I paid "really good money" for a horrible experience. I travel alot and I am not happy with this stay. Parking was limited every night.
On a positive note, the food was decent in the small breakfast bar. The surrounding area had alot of restaurants and stores. Neighborhood not so good! I really wish I would have left after the 1st night instead of the six nights that I stayed there. I am a very laid back, patient , kind person and it takes alot for me to speak up..... I really wish I could get my money back!!! Ughhhh....
The included breakfast was amazing, the lady who runs the breakfast area brings out new bagel/muffin trays and fresh egg and sausage trays every 10 mins. Nice and hot. The free airport shuttle was ahead of time and convenient. The rooms are alright, you get what you pay for. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are outdated but very clean which is the most important. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel are the carpet rooms, I absolutely hate carpet in rooms, you can smell the moisture locked in and it sucks.
