Best WLM Reviews

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE. This is a 100% honest review. I stayed there for a few months because I was having issues with my past living situation. At time they were advertising 189.00 a week. I was short on cash and really had no other options. With taxes it was 250 a week. When I got my first room it was on the first floor. When I walked in the toliet was unusable. It was literally broken in half. There were foot print stains on the carpet and dirt on the sheets. I went back to the front desk and told them I wanted a refund. The lady told me they dont give out refunds but she will give me another room. She gave me a room on the third floor. The third floor wasn't any better but I had no choice but to stay there. I unpacked my things and settled in. The next day I left the hotel for the day when I came back I noticed a roll of quarters I had in a drawer, pepper spray and a gold necklace that my father gave me before he died were missing. Turns out their housekeeper and her teenage children were going in people's room and stealing items from people's room. Once the owner found out they did fire the women but I was never compensated for the items taken from me. After that I put a sign on my door for no one to enter for cleanings. A week later around 2am two men were arguing outside my door about someone smoking up all the weed I could tell they were high and drunk. One of the men went in the room in front of mine and locked the door I looked through the peep hole and saw the second man pull out a gun and shoot the door open then he took off. Never been so scared in all my life. The following week a woman moved in with her children. She left her kids with a man she had meet the day before. One day I came to my door, saw her and her kids in the hallway locked out of her room beating on the door yelling. I asked if everything is ok she said her daughter called her from work and told her the man sexual assaulted her and was doing drugs and locked them out. I told her to call the police but for some reason she wouldn't do it. I had roaches in my room and one day I found a mouse in my room. I went downstairs to tell the front desk. She said she will call maintenance but maintenance is off today so I dont know if he will come. Maintenance (who also lives in the hotel) came to my room and said exactly this "it's more scared of you then you are of it just go down to the dollar store and get some traps". Then he left and never came back. A week before my final day there I came down to the lobby around 5am and literally in front of the front desk, about 3 ft, was a big pool of blood with crime scene tape and 4 memphis police officers. I ask the front desk what happen and she said I dont know. Smh. As soon as I had the money to get an apartment I was out of there and god willing I will never set foot on the property again. This place has been shut down several times in the past for bed bugs, roaches, rats, and crime, all this can be looked up it's all public information. This place is not safe. All the negative reviews you see here are completely correct and any positive reviews you see are from the staff that work there. I am doing this review to let others know find any other place to stay a homeless shelter is better than this place. Heed my warning!
Worst hotel place in Memphis, especially for tourists, the toilets won't stop flushing, bedbugs, the hotel attendants treats you like a criminal and their breakfast area are stupid, I was at the lobby minding my business and the guy who runs the hotel tells me to leave and I'm a customer her for a week.
No I don't recommend this place and if you're a tourist or honeymooning be sure to hide your valuables from crooks outside and get the hotel manager to speak English good enough to understand you're a customer who can speak it better than them!
There's so many noises you can hear wplays they have bed bugs you can't sleep right without hearing noise you can wake up with bumps all over your arms and legs I recommend not sleep here.
It's really not fair for me to rate this place, I only delivered groceries here before, but I can say that the lady who worked at the desk was nice and friendly. They had like a whole family or 2, I couldn't tell, sitting in the lobby. I don't know what they were waiting on, but they was just sitting, they even greeted me. Police was outside in the parking lot. I don't know what happened, but the actual hotel is very low budget, old, and ran down. It's a place to lay your head when you don't have a place to lay your head that's all I'm going to say.
I have to agree with the other reviewers who described this place as run down and less than sparkling clean. You want a hotel to be luxurious. And you certainly want a super clean room. ||This aging hotel can’t satisfy those wishes. I can only feel sympathy for the owners, who probably don’t have the millions it would take to renovate. ||But I’d like to ask those shouters and screamers how much they paid for their room and how much they were willing to pay.||It’s not the grand and snooty Peabody. It’s not even a bland but clean Holiday Inn. It’s convenient to the airport and among the lowest priced hotels in the neighborhood. If you know that, and set your expectations appropriately, it could be a good option.
All these negative reviews was not my experience at all. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. I did not fear for my safety nor my wife's at any time. The room was clean and the price was a great deal. We saw no bugs and everything worked. Yes I would definitely stay here again.
When you enter the Hotel it looks quite decent clean exterior and corridor/lobby area. Front desk clerk seemed presentable and hospitable until i started to bring in my belongings. They felt as though because i had quite a few things that my room would be unkempt and “dirty” -nothing could be farther from the truth. (just ask housekeeping, they didn’t even have to clean my room!) At any rate, the front desk clerks attitude became a bit “short” and rude once she saw all of my belongings. I asked about weekly rates and was informed that they Do NOT do weekly stays/rates . I reiterated and was told DEFINITIVELY that “We Do NOT do weekly rates “ So the “daily” room was awesome! It was up to date, clean, loved it. Come to find out i was deceived and beat out of my money ! I ended up paying over 200$ for 3 days when i could have paid 249.00$ for an entire 7 days!!! I was offered ZERO compensation- when i did finally receive my “weekly room” not ONLY was i NOT credited ANYTHING towards it ...the room was just “ughhhh”(YUCK) There was dried up blood on the walls, urine and cigarette butts in the toilet, the curtain was half hung on the window, all walls were FILTHY, the carpet had burn marks EVERYWHERE, the fridge barely got cold, the microwave was ancient and dirty, the bathroom was filthy and ancient , outdated room looked like something from the 70s!!!! I had to scub all if the walls and disinfect the ENTIRE room with bleach and gain detergent !!! It smells HORRIBLE ! As soon as you step off of the elevator on the 4th floor it smells of urine and basement -the room smelled pretty much the same! Just sad sad sad but what can you do when you have no car and nowhere else to go?!! Extremely distressed disappointed and disgusted! I had to pay all of that excess cash no one cared or tried to fix or even address the situation! Thinking of speaking to my attorney... this is NOT how you do a PAYING CUSTOMER ! I had to pay extra unnecessary money and clean too UNACCEPTABLE !!! And just WRONG.There has to be something that should have been and CAN BE done ...So in total i have paid almost 500$ ...i was just “UNDONE” when i found out the TRUTH ...#DoNotComeToTheAirportInn#ThumbsDown
No bed bugs. No bugs at all. I greatly appreciate I've never been robbed. I leave my things like my laptop when I go out & everything is there when I get back. It's very quiet so I get A good night sleep in the very huge comfortable bed. A very Nice staff. I usually get a very good price for the room. It's near downtown & Elvis Presley's Graceland I called first & the air was already on when I got there out of the hot southern weather. Refrigerator microwave cable tv. I like to bring my softer towels. I really really appreciate their clean linens & that the room doesn't smell like cigarette smoke. Also my rig has never been vandalized nor my private vehicle. There are cameras which I do appreciate very much. Lastly no hidden excessive charges/deposits. It was some where else I experienced being charged for 3-4 nights instead of 1 & it took wks to get my refund. With all of that nowadays the Airport Inn is a very honest place of business that's why I would give it a 4. A nice restaurant& reopened swimming pool would make a 4.5
