Best WLM Reviews

I am truly appalled at the way I was treated by the staff at Aiken OBGYN today. I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional and inappropriate behavior at a doctor’s office before.
I met with Christy, the nurse practitioner, a few weeks ago and was prescribed antibiotics. I have been taking the antibiotics for about 5 days and they have been causing me to be very nauseous and sick. I was very sick this morning and was worried about taking the AM dose. I am aware that antibiotics are usually supposed to be taken on a strict schedule, so I called the Aiken OBYN office hoping for guidance.
I spoke with a receptionist (as soon as I find out the name I will edit this post), and asked what I should do. She had a very rude tone with me but still transferred me over to Christy’s direct phone line, and I left a message regarding my issue.
I left the first message at 8:54 AM. Around 11:26AM;, I started getting worried that I wouldn’t hear back by the time I would have already missed the morning dose. I decided to give another call to politely ask if it was possible they could mark the voicemail as urgent, so I could ensure a response by the end of the day. I was extremely kind and understanding in my delivery of this. I am aware that they have other patients and I am not the most important person in the world. All I was asking is that they mark the message so it wouldn’t be disregarded.
After politely asking that question, the receptionist responds to me and says in a very rude tone “the doctors are busy and we can’t stop the whole office for you”. I was extremely shocked by this and word for word said “I was not asking that, and you really don't need to be rude to me about it.” The receptionist seemed to have an attitude change and connected me directly to Christy, the nurse practitioner.
Then, I am speaking with Christy and she states she will phone in an anti-nausea medication. After the conversation seemed to be done, I said something along the lines of “I’m sorry if you guys felt I was being pushy, that wasn’t my intention, and I know you guys are busy.” Christy then responds to me and says, “the receptionist told me you called her an extremely foul name and I would appreciate it if you didn’t talk to my staff like that.”
I told Christy that I asked the receptionist to not be rude with me, and did not call anyone any negative names. She honestly didn’t even seem to believe me and I told her I will be writing a review about this.
I called back and spoke with the front desk supervisor. She said she would handle it and call me back shortly, and I never received a follow-up phone call from her.
I do not appreciate that I was lied about and how I was treated today. This has caused me extreme emotional distress. I feel ashamed and embarrassed when I didn’t do anything wrong or call anyone any names.
Unfortunately, I still need to go to this doctor because the only other OGBYN’s in Aiken are booked months down the line. I have never felt so shocked by a business in my life. I was treated extremely horribly, and it doesn’t seem like Aiken OBYN is going to do anything about it and that is very disappointing to me.
This review is in reference to Aiken Obgyns lab. I dont know what her name was, but she did my blood work today for my pregnancy, and I told her she was very gentle when she poked me with the needle. I wanted to give her praise, if she were to see this and remember, I didn't even bruise one bit. She is a fantastic lady, and its not every day you come across someone with such gentle hands when sticking you with a needle for your blood work. Just want to make sure praise is given to this woman for doing a fantastic job, even whith the last vial, my vein was giving up on letting out blood. And she did fantastic at getting what she needed while still being super gentle. Thank you maam!
I dislike going to gynecologist as a rule, and I had read some of the reviews, but remain hopeful. It would be a decent experience… I had Hannah and Christie as my tech and my nurse and both of them were incredible! I have an unhealthy fear of pain and both of them answered all my questions and were gentle with both my ultrasound and biopsy as much as could be possible… They were both patient, cheerful, friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed or silly for asking the hundreds of questions I threw at them. I did have to wait a bit when I first got there, but again it was explained to me that because their doctors also have active patients who come into labor. They may have a full day of appointments, but have to go deliver a baby… So it throws things off a bit at the office… I’m willing to wait for that! I would highly recommend them even if you have to wait for a minute in the waiting room they have Wi-Fi so you can tinker around on your phone while you wait… It was a genuinely good experience!
My experience at Aiken OBGYN has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. Over the past six weeks, I have not once seen my doctor or any doctor at all. Instead, I've been repeatedly passed off to different staff members who are unfamiliar with my medical history, resulting in inconsistent prenatal care plans that keep changing with each visit.
The wait times at this facility are utterly unacceptable. Despite arriving early as requested, I've consistently waited over an hour in both the reception area and the patient room, only to have a brief consultation lasting no more than five minutes. The scheduling is a mess; appointments are clearly not organized according to the actual time required. Ultrasounds, which are crucial for prenatal care, are always backed up, causing further delays and frustration.
During my latest visit, after waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time, I inquired on how much longer until I could be seen and was informed that there were still five patients ahead of me for an ultrasound, and my doctor had just left for the day. This lack of communication about delays is inexcusable. If appointments are running hours behind, patients should be informed upon check-in, rather than keeping them waiting indefinitely. And then to wait all that time to not be able to talk to my doctor anyways.
The lack of accessibility to my doctor is another major issue. I have important questions and concerns about my pregnancy, but I am consistently unable to speak directly with my doctor. Instead, I am relegated to speaking with assistants who can only provide standard responses, which do not address my specific needs or the plans we originally discussed.
The front desk staff are unprofessional and disorganized, frequently making errors with my appointments and sometimes rescheduling at the last minute without consideration for my schedule. This level of incompetence reflects poorly on the entire practice.
Overall, Aiken OBGYN is severely lacking in organization, scheduling, and basic patient care coordination. If I were to have another baby, I would not consider returning here. I will be seeking prenatal care elsewhere where I can receive timely, consistent, and respectful medical attention that values my time and concerns as a patient.
The only reason I’m staying is I’m already at 36 weeks, I do really like my doctor when I get to see her (who will hopefully be delivering my baby) and I am really looking forward to delivering at Aiken Regional as I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Women’s Lifecare Center (I have twice a week stress testing there and the staff and organization are light years better there).
NP Janet is friendly and makes me feel at ease. I look forward to meeting the other providers in the future. I have not experienced a long wait and the front desk employees have been friendly. My only minor criticism is that the office could benefit from a remodel as it looks a little old and shabby. A nice refresh could make patients feel better.
I called Aiken OBGYN now my Dr, has retired, I asked Chasity my nurse to call in something for a yeast infection dew to antibiotics Im taking, no hesitation my medication was called in, THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH, STILL THE BEST, TY TRACY BLONDIN
This is the worst place ever. I went bc I thought I was having a miscarriage and wanted help to save my baby. They were NOT helpful. Luckily my baby boy is happy and healthy! Had to switch to a private practice
My wife was being examined and another employee just casually opened the door and looked for something, asking the person examining my wife to stop and help look. And then opened the door once again while my wife was still in a vulnerable position. Then told her it wasn't a big deal when she complained about it in October or November of 2023
