Wow we were impressed with the size of the fish and chips and the oysters as well and make sure you try the shrimp and grits (highly recommended)
Food was good but missed out on the Rasberry cheesecake (we got that and more two doors down at the Fresh Market).
Overall was good food.
Cute little spot and great service/atmosphere. The food was just ok.. favorite item were the hush puppies. Very fresh and full of flavor. I will be back to try more of the menu.
We were told about this spot the Aiken Fish House,it took us an hour to get here but it was worth the drive. It’s in a shopping center with a large amount of parking, we arrived about 6:00 Saturday afternoon with no reservations. The wait was only about 8 or 9 minutes. The staff was very friendly as well as the customers. We had Dana as our waitress and she did a phenomenal job with helping us to decide what we would order. We ordered blackened alligator tail as our appetizer. The hubby had the Seafood platter which was enough for two and I ordered the fish & shrimp with two sides. Everything was delicious and seasoned so well. I don’t like bland food without seasoning. The chef’s took there time and cooked with love it was good. We also tried an oyster shot which was a little spicy but different. All in all we enjoyed the experience.
My favorite restaurant in Aiken is the Aiken Fish house. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is top quality fresh fish and the best southern seasoned sides u can find. Don't miss out on this local gem! I forgot to take photos til i was already eating.lol
Came for lunch. The lunch was just ok. Started with apps.Gatortail and Fried Green Tomatoes. Then we ordered the Seafood Platter for two. There was a lot of food piled on the plate. The sad thing was everything was over cooked. The fih was dry seasoning was off. The oysters were very dry with no juice in them. The clam strips are so crunchy that I wasn't even sure they were clams .We didn't eat much there.
Serious foodie award: just look at this whole snapper!! (see pic). Also had terrific crispy fried salmon - whole filets in lettuce wraps with creamy cole slaw on the side - and fabulous Cajun Shrimp and Blackened Grouper over cheesy grits... to swoon over. It's not on the menu but it's available, you have to ask for it!
Great seafood restaurant in Aiken. Service was quick. I was going to order the Shrimp and Grits. However, our server suggested the blackened Shrimp and Grits which included Grouper. It was awesome. Not too spicy just right with plenty of shrimp. My wife had the fried shrimp platter which was lightly battered. We were both happy with our choices. Would recommend this place.
Tasty food and friendly staff. There is bar seating with televisions tuned to sports. They offer a wide variety of seafood and even a few non-seafood items. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and very engaging. Convenient to the grocery store and the nearby hotels.
