Ordered online and it what I received was not only completely wrong, but mediocre at best. No drink (though they gave me a straw), gyro had no sauce and had tomatoes even though I ordered it without tomatoes. The fries were soggy too.
Ordered gyro meal. Was very tasty. There was a mistake in items ordered . They promptly corrected, and then refunded me 100% money back. I felt bad, I told them I just wanted to let them know something was missing. It was a small thing and I didn’t care, but they took it upon themselves not only to credit that item, but waived the whole cost. I will definitely be re-ordering, not only for their service, but the food is Very tasty.
I once got a nice Fattoush salad from this place with the fried pitta bread chips on it. This time, no fried pitta chips, no carrots, and weird salad dressing.
Alright, this place has good service (nothing special on the service end), prices I thought were pricy UNTIL I got the amount of food I did. DAMN did I get food, I forgot to take a picture. I got a gyro bowl, I could eat it in 3 meals maybe. A normal person probably 2 meals. The food is very very good, super fresh, flavorful, VERY GOOD.
Now, the only downside, is the tables were dirty and the floor was dirty. The kitchen looked very clean and it smelled very clean just the floors and tables. They also didn’t have good water. We asked for a cup of water and it had fruit punch mixed in it.
But overall I would go back for sure! Maybe just carry out instead!
I love Ahmos on Dexter Ann Arbor Road. After their unfortunate fire, we have gone to the downtown location. Each time we have had issues with our order. First time, we ordered chicken hoagies, we get steak. Second and third time, we ordered chicken hoagies with American cheese and no mushrooms. Both times- we get Swiss cheese and mushrooms. Also, somehow the sandwich’s are always soggy. We never ever had this issue with the Dexter Ann Arbor location. I can NOT wait for them to open back up.
The donuts were freshly made before your eyes and the ladies quickly iced them to your preference. Price was decent for Ann Arbor. They were delicious and I would definitely come back again if in the area. The delightful staff was the highlight. They even gave out sample donuts for first time visitors.
This place is so nice. Recently remodeled, spacious, free on site parking. Bathroom is unisex and clean. Close to everything. Staff is always super helpful and polite even when busy. Food is delicious. If you are gluten free go for one of their chicken options with rice and salad.
The chicken shawarma plate was great! Huge portions!
