Had the ahgassi combo with the choice of pork belly. Beef brisket and short rib were amazing. Not a fan of pork steak and pork belly, they are a bit too tough comparing to beef’s tenderness.
Also had the beef tartare, very tender and flavorful (a bit of a sesame oil flavor and a hint of sweetness from pear).
Side dishes were good, sauce was good. Overall 5-star given its affordable pricing.
First time trying Gopchang, and it exceeded my expectations! We ordered the 2-3 person Gopchang set and added a rib—so satisfying. It wasn’t as greasy as I expected, with a great chewy texture that paired perfectly with soju.
If you’re craving some top-tier Korean BBQ in LA, Agassi Gopchang is the place to be! ???? I tried the meat combo, and let me tell you—it was amazing. The meat was perfectly grilled, tender, and packed with flavor. They also give you a good variety of cuts, so you get a little bit of everything.
The banchan (side dishes) were on point—so fresh and flavorful, really completing the meal. The staff here is super friendly, always checking in and making sure you're taken care of. The vibe is lively but still cozy enough for a chill dinner.
If you’re a fan of Korean BBQ or feeling adventurous, Agassi Gopchang is a must-visit. I’m already planning my next trip back!
Great kbbq place well known for celebrities visiting. The intestines are its featured dish but I personally am not a fan of this type of dish due to its mushy ish texture and particular organy taste. I feel like it’s an acquired taste so not for everyone but would recommend trying once. The other standard beef set and banchan were solid.
It was my first time eating here and they got us in, in a timely manner, the food was cooked for us (so nice!) and our waiter Brandon was really efficient and helpful! The prices were pretty decent when split amongst a group of people as well???? Thank you for a great first experience Ahgassi Gopchang!
We ordered the beef combo ???? and it was really good. The staff grills the meat for you and the combo comes with steamed egg and soy bean paste soup (one of the options) ????.
First time coming here and I’m so impressed by the service. I came for the Seventeen event and even though they were busy, they were still friendly and quick. Food was also really good! Definitely worth the wait!
This is a popular spot for Asian/K-pop celebs (a la the photos of autographs adorning their walls). Entrance is in the corner- visible from the street but you have to round a corner in the parking lot to enter the restaurant (refer to photo). Got there around 8:30 pm on a Sunday night after KCON and we literally beat the rush in. Waited no more than 5 minutes and were seated right away. There is a QR code available outside and you can scan and study the menu. So we ordered right away as soon as we sat down. Douglas was our waiter and he was superb! Even when it got busy he made sure to check with us so we got the extra side dishes we wanted and refills on water.
We ordered the Aghassi Combo for 2. It was just the hubby and I and while I wanted to order the gopchang too, we were just too full with the combo. You really need to come with more people to eat more variety. I have had the gopchang before here and it is also good! Between the pork belly and pork jowl we went with the jowl and it did not disappoint! All the meat was of high quality, cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection! We also picked the soybean (daengjang) soup. Had a few clams in there and the rice cakes were the perfect consistency. I liked the saltiness of the soup. Warning the peppers in the soup are super spicy, but not noticeable with just the soup. We also ordered the steamed egg.
Side dishes were so good. The potatoes and the white (baek) kimchi were my favorites. I also loved the flavor of the dongchimi. My favorite of the meats was the Jowl- better than the brisket.
We got really lucky and found street parking (free metered spot because it was Sunday). However refer to the photos for the small driveway off of Harvard into the Harvard Plaza parking. There is only valet available in the lot for $4 if you pay cash and $5 if you pay card. The parking lot is one way so when you exit you will exit off of 6th.
