I use to come to this office with my first daughter, I did like it only because the doctors were amazing! I just had my second child and, trying to call this place to make an appointment is ridiculous. You can hear them actual pick up the phone and hang up on you, or you just never get through. And I went for an appointment today and needed some blood work done for my daughter, the doctor explained to me that the only reason I would get a call back with results would be if I needed to take my daughter to the hospital. So I get a call a few minutes before 9:00pm that I need to schedule an appointment for my daughter for first thing in the morning, that it's an emergency! So we set an appointment but when I ask her to give me more information, or to speak to someone who can. she can't! Because she's just a receptionist... completely understand the information she gives is limited, but seriously what a way to ruin a mothers peace of mind. I'd like to know what mother would be okay with hearing their child needs an emergency appointment first thing in the morning but can't give any other information?! Just curious? Maybe it's just me, but good phone etiquette would not involve someone to say it's an emergency with absolutely no reason why.
First off I like the nurses and front desk they are nice and helpful. You can't get through the phone lines they are always looping. My kids have been going to this office for years and never has it been so bad. The doctor my son saw today would not fill out my forms as needed she did them as she felt needed. Seems like she does not know enough about my son's disability to treat him. I will be working in finding a new doctor's office as of today. I urge you to do the same. The few good doctors that office had are no longer there, no surprise.
Having same issue with the office not answering their phone. It even gives the option to leave a voicemail but voicemail box is full. Usually its a little hard to get through. I am very happy with this place but trying to get an appointment is another story. Ive had several times it rang a bunch then when they picked up they hung up. I just keep trying till I finally get through. Called today at 10am then 11am and now at 12. I could understand if people take a lunch break but 3 hours. At first it rang at 10 to voicemail and now it just goes straight to voicemail. Their staff is always great when we are there but there is an issue either with their line, phones or someone doesnt want to take appointments for them. Not sure which it is. Would be nice if they have more than one number to reach them.
Don’t take your kids to this place there bad at sending out referrals they never answer the phone I had to switch my kids doctors so they can receive good care somewhere else
We've been at this location due to convenience for multiple years. The biggest issue is we continue to have, is when we need to see a specialist. They are extremely terrible and usually never send out the referrals when needed. You have to constantly remind them about it. Isnt this thier job!?!?! There is no sense of urgency! I've been waiting for a referral for weeks, I was wrong to trust they'd send it without me constantly calling. My daughter has been in pain for weeks (that she has managed)and NEEDS to see her neurologist, and because she was unable to go due to the lack of urgency. I now have to take her to the emergency room as she suddenly lost her vision for nearly a hr, 5 min increments. I'm extremely upset, and well be filing due to thier incompetence, and not insuring the health of thier clients.
They don’t send referrals and couldn’t even give my daughter refills on a medication they prescribed, and took my daughter 3x for armpit pain they kept ignoring us went to the ER glad I did because she needed an emergency surgery, DON’T TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!
This is really disappointing me right now. Our first born son just turned 21 in April. He has been a patient with Dr. Aquirre Maria since the day he was born in 2001. She had her office at Gen. McMullen and Ceralvo st. @ the corner shared with a pic nik store. She showed such care. Dr. Aguirre office was small yet she always had time for her patients PERSONALLY. She was always the one to see us, not someone else we didn't know.
Now, her office is much larger, and she's not to be seen, I don't know any of these new Dr's. But the thing is that.....no one answers the phone number of the Dr's Office. Where is everyone!? Is there even anyone in the building? Would i have to risk going all the way over to this new, (not really anymore) office, and its closed, or can't walk in, or can't see our children right now. Whats a worried & concerned momma to do. Please at least answer the phone.
My kidd are established patients been going w them for a few months now. And last time i went they were trying to charge me $15.00 for a copy of the updated shots.. When I had just handed them the copy i had they got shots the same day and the front girl at night said I had to pay. Doesn't make any sence if they always just print me the update of what was done. And today I called for a physical and unfortunately I had issues w my daughters Medicaid. I called 211 they stated they should be able to see her since its less than 30days from her not being active. I called and again front staff at night clinic said i had to pay $235.00 ...... Spurs Pediatric only charge $45. She ended the call by telling me I could go some where else. I wounder if the doctors know they make ppl turn away. They need to find a away to help not just turn you away. And paying is not the issues but paying a reasonable price is what i would expect.
