Best WLM Reviews
I should have said something while I was there. I am disappointed ☹️. The hair cut is not what I thought about n felt I did explain well what I wanted. Now I have 2" bangs. With long hair in it. I wanted the bangs the same length. The 2-3" off the bottom of my hair was to be cut off. It was to be layered. She put oil on my hair! I don't have a need for it and I walked out looking awful. Went home looked in the mirror n bust out crying. I didn't expect $85 was a lot for it. I thought you were a school n expected to pay $45-50. Broke me. The $35 over was my gas money/food. I am not willing go back n have Alicia a do over. I told her I didn't like it. I went home and washed the oil out. I looked like I hadn't wash my hair for a month! I know this sounds racist. African American hair use oil like that. I'm just bummed out. At my age, my hair is a self esteem issue!
I don’t want to seem mean or harsh but I felt like I needed to write a review. My boyfriend and I are unsatisfied with the quality of our haircuts. To start, we walked in about 40 minutes before closing, my boyfriend went first with his haircut. She cut his hairline like a slope which is definitely not what he asked for, we didn’t notice till we got home because his hair was very wet when she finished. Immediately after she finished his haircut, she took me back to do a one length cut, and curtain bangs. The one length cut looks fine, but the bangs look awful and awkward. I have tried to style it with no success. It looks choppy and the sections are so big it looks like I have longer bull cut section around my face, with long hair in the back. I also like think the front is very short for curtain bangs, I didn’t know the exact length to get so she recommended nose length but having gotten that I wish I got them longer. My hair wasn’t fully dry when we finished the cut so I didn’t notice the problems till I got home. I understand we came in late but if the employee felt as thought her quality of work would be affected by the time then she could have told us she didn’t have time to fit us in. Unfortunately these haircuts were for my sisters wedding which is in a week, so we don’t really have time to fix it. Also it’s my boyfriends name that’s on the sign in sheet, we were a walk in. Name is under J. Trujillo
I am so lucky to have found Alicia Jiminez. She listens and guides me to have the perfect haircut for me. Thank you for your candid, professional opinion always!
Well today called ahead of time to see if i can get a hair cut the woman that answered said your better off just walking in so i did waited about an hour no one said anything or even noticed me how ever they kinda just looked at me and thats it ... waste of an hour of my time on a sunday got up walked out ...not very friendly i guess ...im new to pueblo ..still looking for a barber shop ...well to the owners response ...I didn't see no sign in sheet didn't know there was one and yes I've been to all these places here in pueblo with the honest truth .....take it how you want.. it is what it is...I'm just one almost customer sharing my experiences here in pueblo ...now if you want to be butt hurt and minimize the situation ... if it makes you feel better then good for you ...it reflects your good character.....and since you looked at my reviews I looked at yours ...im not the only 1 star rating ...you got a few with pictures at that ...and I must say it might be a blessing that I didn't get your services ..people walked in wanting a hair do....came out with some hair don't s ...lol...those pictures of that couple ...not one mess up but you had both walking out looking like clowns ....lmao..looks like one of your team members lied on there resume...
Lucinda is an amazing stylist!!
Very professional, made me feel comfortable with my first highlight/color. Turned out beautiful!!
She will definitely be my go to stylist!
Larry gave me a great haircut and even fixed the part I didn’t like. Couldn’t appreciate a good barber more. If you’re new here I highly recommend Larry
I came here and got a pretty okay haircut, but the only drawback I experienced today was with customer service.
If you're a male wanting your haircut here as a walk-in, prepare yourself to be an advocate for yourself to get a timely haircut as the staff here generally won't ask if you're a walk-in. I arrived to this place at around 9:20am today and there were around 6 barbers there with 6 people in line, and I got skipped over around 2 times by female customers or children who arrived after me and who also didn't have appointments. Maybe not all female staff here are comfortable doing adult male hairstyles? There were also 3 people with appointments seen before me, which is completely reasonable, but another factor that delayed me being seen.
Fortunately I was able to get seen by 10:25am after I approached the only male barber working on this day at that hour and he was able to rush my haircut and beard trim. When I asked for advice on what to do in the future to get a timely haircut, he suggested an appointment and he later said that he's "only [charging] $30 today". I guess that was his way of acknowledging that I could have been seen earlier.
My advice for future male customers:
1. Sign in at the front desk for walk-ins. This didn't help me though, since I still got skipped.
2. Make an appointment
3. Position yourself to see when the next barber becomes available
4. If you know you're being skipped by other walk-ins, be prepared to advocate for yourself ask the next available barber if they'd be able to cut your hair before you're skipped
Advice for staff at this barber shop:
1. Make your customers waiting in line aware that there is a sign in sheet. Not everyone that came in after me seemed to know there was a sign in sheet.
2. If you're only cutting hair for females, tell the other customers who are being skipped in line that you're most comfortable cutting female hair. People are gonna be less happy if you just skip people that have been waiting a long time without knowing why.
Normally I tip $10-$30. Today I tipped $0.
Edit: Added photos of the job. I should have looked over the haircut I got before I left, but it looks like both my barber and I were in a rush. I asked for a natural hairline rather than an edge up, but I wasn't expecting all the long hairs at my forehead or beard area at my neck. Overall my barber did okay I guess. Now I have to set up a time in my busy schedule to have this fixed by a barber who works there, or invest in a hair trimmer to finish the job. I had a great female barber who didn't leave this many straggling hairs before at this same shop a month ago who I tipped, but it goes to show not everyone cuts hair the same.
Need a fast but amazing cut? Look no further. Go here and ask for anyone. My guy, Joe Bachicha, did an outstanding job. Thanks Joe
