Best WLM Reviews
I was blown away by the quality and freshness in every single variety of seafood dishes we ordered. The service was also swift, attentive and professional.
Starting off with Chef's recommended appetizers:
× Calamari (fried) - lightly battered and delectable bites, we loved it with the spicy red sauce
× Agora Chips - fried zucchini, light and refreshing, we all agreed that these paired better with the green sauce that came with the Calamari
The starter dishes set the standard for our Main entrées, which were second the none:
× Bronzino - most popular main course and highly enjoyed
× Royal Dorado - delicate yet flavorful and perfectly cooked
× Seafood Pasta (what I ordered) - light with a hint of white wine taste, pasta cooked to al dente
A true Greek restaurant experience that I will be recommending to anyone in the charming Forest Hills neighborhood!
Great Greek restaurant with a covered outdoor dining area. The service was quick and we tried the octopus and fried fish that was recommended by the waitress. The octopus was delicious! Good prices for seafood too, would love to come back and try more dishes.
What an amazing place. My Agora Chips were crisper and delicate the sauce was creamy and light. My experience is everything anyone would want. The service was kind and friendly. The food was perfect texture and the tastes were divine. My shrimp was perfect! Not at all over cooked. It was like I was at home!
I love it here. My best friend and I ordered several apps and 2 entrees to share. The wine is great especially the Greek wine! We were able to bring our dog and had a fabulous dining experience. 10/10!! Will definitely return. ????????
My extended trips to Astoria are over !
We are in walking distance to Agora .
So far every dish and ingredient was perfectly cooked. I’m a Branzini junky and at Agora is the freshest and tastiest. The lemon potatoes are out of this world, I wish I could master the art to make them at home. Also the absolute best octopus. As for the people working there: they are all our friends! Panaiotis share secrets of food, his past Greek experiences and knowledge of the islands. Than I also have to mention Diego , our wonderful friend from Quenca if I’m not mistaken!
He caries his given new name of Dimitri with great dignity !
It was a cold night, so getting a table was easy. Service was very attentive. We had falafel for an appetizer. It was as expected. I ordered the shank of lamb with orzo. It was delicious and filling. A good value for the price. Mynwife had the brozino. She said the fish was good but didn't like the beans. We were provided a dessert on the house. All and all, it was a nice evening. We were not rushed to leave, but the check was brought promptly when requested. I would recommend for a pleasant evening. On a side note, the owner (I beleive) was there and engaged us in conversation. I felt that makes it more personable.
We didn’t have much time and were hoping we don’t regret going in.. we didn’t!
The service was excellent, quick, friendly, accommodating. Very clean place. The food came out quickly and was very delicious, I didn’t like the potatoes because they seem to be cooked with grape leaves but that’s just a personal preference. The coffee was good and you can ask for it to be light or heavy. Overall a lovely place, would definitely go back again.
Great restaurant! Excellent service and delicious food! Cocktails were good! I love their spinach pie and calamari a lot! Everything came out really good! Highly recommend.
