Best WLM Reviews

OMG, the best Indian food I’ve had in quite a while (maybe ever). This is a small hole in the wall place in a strip mall, so not crowded (tonight) or fancy but we enjoyed our evening there (so nice to be able to hold a conversation without raising our voices). Lots of people picking up to go orders, they know good food!
During my stay in VA, this was one of the go to place for dosas n filter coffee. The food n service was good, can get a little better as there was an error with my order. But certainly the served food is tasty n sensed fresh.Filter coffee n any sambar item a must try depending if u not allergic to anything. It’s in a small strip mall with a few parking spots, so prepared to park on the street on a busy day/ hour.
I've heard great things about this place amd decided to try it since ai was in the area.
As soon as we walked in, I fell in love with the cute triangle people deco on the wall, as well as the decoration behind the counter. Unfortunately there was some sort of smell, which I cannot place but it didn't smell pleasant. The tables were very nice, but the chairs felt like barstools in chair form.
The gentleman who was taking orders was extremely nice, quick and efficient. I'm not sure if they had any takeaway orders they were working on, but he did seem a little busy... So I felt bad for him, being the only person working the counter/diners. I wanted to try the thali, but it was too late in the day to eat that much food. There were so many other items on the menu that sounded amazing.
We ordered the masala dosa, to keep it simple. It was quite large and very shareable...just not much filling inside. The masala dosa was ok, as were the sambar and chutney. I do wish it was a little spicier. I also ordered a Kerala parotta to go...havent eaten it yet though.
I will return next time I'm in the area.
Ordered a Veg Thali on a weekend trip to this restaurant. Nothing was special in it. It was an average. Paratha was like Papad ????. Crunchy ????.
But service was quick and good. Manage apologized for the Paratha being crunchy, though.
Agni is a simple and unpretentious South Indian restaurant in Sterling. We met for lunch during the week as we were in the mood for Dosas.
We started off the meal with 2 appetizers: Pakoda and Kuzhi Paniyaram. These came with 3 different chutneys. I had never tasted the latter dish before and quite enjoyed it.
For our main dishes, my friends ordered Plain Dosas and I got the mixed veg/onion Uthappam.
We enjoyed our meal--every dish was freshly prepared, and brought to the table steaming hot.
Shout out to our servers Vikram and Rajah, who were very efficient and friendly.
Went for dinner on a Friday. All the appetizers we ordered were really delicious - Chicken 65, chilli baby corn, chilli paneer and mutton sukka. Curries and kothu parathas were bland and almost no flavor. Dosa was delicious.
The interior was okay and the service was good. Interior is kind of in between take out and fine dining.
Overall, delicious appetizers and tiffins.
We decided to go for lunch based on a magazine’s article. We were not impressed, we were the only ones there for lunch which should have been my first clue. We ordered the Chicken 65 appetizer which came out fairly quickly. Chicken was good but the chutney sauce was watered down. We ordered the Mysore Dosa for me and the Masala Mysore Dosa for my wife because she prefers spicy. Three bites into my Dosa I realized they gave me hers by accident, the food runner didn’t speak English so we had no clue until the waitress said it was my entree. Overall there was no taste in the Dosa or potato filling. The Sambar was good I’ll say that. The music was a bit loud for our taste. For me not worth the price we paid. Won’t be returning here, if we do we will try other entrees.
If you are a South Indian food lover, then you should try this place.
I am from Kerala and I love strong tea and filter coffee. All the tea and filter coffees I have tried here have been just average, but here it was excellent. The masala dosa, sambar idli and the kothu parotta were superb.
Apart from food the place is also pleasing to the eye. The service is also very good.
Must try place
