The food was fantastic!! We had the veggie platter and the veggie&meat platter and they were both so delicious. I’ll be thinking about this food for months. The atmosphere was really warm and felt very authentic. Would definitely come back again.
Enjoyed the "Veggie Combo and Meat Combo" house special at Agelgil Ethiopian Restaurant—tons of delicious, authentic Ethiopian food that could easily feed three, and it's very affordable too! They're known for their cozy atmosphere and attentive service, enhancing the dining experience. Open until midnight, it's perfect for a late dinner. Wasn't sure about the billing process, so we checked out at the counter. Overall, a fantastic and economical dining experience!
Very welcoming food is amazing I had awazi lamb tibs .the lamb was tender you have to request the spicy level I went for mild to medium

We had a beef dish a lamb dish, also tried the tripe and liver dish. Super special and tasty. All the spice and flavour. We loved it.

We picked up a takeout lunch from Agelgil to enjoy outside on the first beautiful, glorious day of Spring in 2023, and the quality of the food was only matched by the amazing sunshine and warm weather.
The staff who took and serviced our order was so helpful and polite, we wish we could have stayed and eaten at the restaurant (but alas the outdoors called).
The spice and texture of the food was perfection, each bite better than the last. We loved it and hope to come back again soon!
Very delicious food. Their catering is amazing too. Everything I ordered to invite my friends at home was really good. They liked it and they wanted go to the restaurant. They wanted to order food to invite people for thier kids birthdays and graduation too.
First time trying Ethiopian food so I don't have much to compare to. But it seemed to be a popular spot for locals which implies authenticity. The food was delicious and the staff was quick to make recommendations for both vegetarian and meat dishes as well as Ethiopian beers. Great value too!
We ordered the sambusa for an appetizer, two 21's and one 39. The sambusas were the best thing we ate out of the entire meal. The beef in 21 was so tough and chewy but we didn't want to say anything because we already had to wait an extra 30 minutes to get rice with our meals since it wasn't ready, we were there at 5:30 pm so during dinner. We were fine to wait and didn't have an issue we just didn't want to wait again. The 39 was more tender probably because it is lamb which is a softer meat. Anyways, we sat for another 30-45 minutes waiting for the check. It was just not a good experience. Even though the food has a good flavor, the meat was terrible for the beef.
