The restaurant was very loud. It's an open atmosphere, so it doesn't allow for good conversation over meals. The food was good but overpriced. The table sized nachos were large, but with chicken added, it costs over $30. The $14 margarita was sized like a small martini. I would probably not go back. We shared just the nachos and the margarita and still spent $57 with the tip.
Good food, great atmosphere. Had some of the freshest tacos I've ever tasted. Appetizers came out quick, hot and delicious. Also, the tequila flight was perfect. If you love mexican style cuisine, you won't be disappointed.
Agave was highly recommended to me so my family decided to come in last evening. We made a 7:45 reservation and had no issues being sat when we arrived. We all enjoyed our meals and shared the traditional guacamole which was also very good. The restaurant was extremely noisy, it is definitely a place to go for celebrations, party’s, and events.. not so much a family dinner. The table beside us was very close and accidentally flung water on my sister, twice. I would certainly come back with my friends for a girls night out, but will try somewhere else if I’m looking to catch up with family.
Every single second of our experience here was outstanding! From our very attentive server Sara to the incredible food and drinks. This was a great first outing here and will definitely be back for more.
I enjoyed the guacamole and chips however what Mexican restaurant doesn’t offer chips and salsa unless you pay $7.75. My daiquiri was ok. I ordered the ribs which were decent however the sweet potato was not baked it was a small ramekin and had orange crème and pine nuts. It was not very good and a simple baked potato would have been much better. Adam our server was very good. My friend had the corn soup and said it was good. She also ordered the sweet potato and also disappointed by this side. It was just ok expect overpriced. Fajitas for $43? Steak quesadilla for $29? Huh. I was a guest so I stayed silent however I would.l not pay these prices for sizes
This was my 1st visit to this location - have been to the original location in Lewes numerous times over the years - I consider Lewes location a high end Mexican/American fusion and it always merited the high prices.
The Rehoboth location is a very large space and feels like a big box type restaurant upon 1st entering - almost feels a but sterile and a way different vibe than the original.
Our server was phenomenal - she was very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. Excellent customer service!
Food prices are high - way high. $17.50 for wings seems outlandish - the most expensive price I have seen around. The flavors of the food are very hit and miss and a bit confused. The mole wings were bland and over sauced. The pupusas were interesting and good - definitely not authentic (pupusas are not mexican) but definitely creative and flavorful - we tried both and I would recommend- but don't expect authentic Salvadoran flavors. The salsa trio was very good - impressed with the flavors, and while you pay for the salsa, it's super worth it (flavor & quality), and they are happy to refill the chips. $22 for tamales is highway robbery.
Overall, the portions are large, and the food was good - but not for the cost. There are too many restaurants that have better pricing/value for better flavored food. Maybe portion down the plates to make it less expensive? Not everything has to be super-sized.
Let me just start off by saying that the architecture to this restaurant is gorgeous! The interior is clean & rustic, which I love.
Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food didn’t take long at all and the drinks were just the perfect strength, like a cocktail should be!
For drinks, I got a pomegranate margarita and the creamsicle cocktail for dessert.
As an entree, I got the mole enchiladas. It came with rice and beans. I definitely think that the mole enchilada had way too much cinnamon in the recipe and it wasn’t balanced. An authentic recipe should have balance with just the right notes. Although it wasn’t balanced, it was still good.
The disappoint in my entree lies with the rice and beans. They were sooooo dry. Overall I liked my meal but would’ve liked to have had more moisture in the rice and more juice in the beans.
I would definitely try the margaritas again and I would say the highlight of this restaurant is the cocktails and the environment.
Will be back soon for the guacamole ????✨
Wow! What a great place, went here for brunch and had quite an enjoyable time. Food came out fresh and hot, our waiter was sweet and attentive, and our meximosas were not light on the champagne! Definitely need to come back here for dinner but brunch was fantastic! Highly recommend if you are down by the beach!! Standout faves were the birria eggroll and pancakes!
