One of my favorite places to go when I am in town. I didn't give 5 stars for service because 1 of the 3 of us that went to eat didn't get his drink and had to wait. I also asked for a piece of chocolate cake to go and she forgot. Normally I don't have any issues. The food is always good and so are the margaritas.
Hungry and wanting some good Mexican inspired food? Do your stomach a favor and stop here. Great menu, affordable prices and amazing service. They have a bar as well. We had absolutely no wait when we got there around 3pm on a Saturday. Even with most of the tables full we were waited on and served quickly. Food was really tasty and a good amount with our meals. The wait staff was amazing. Loads of room at the table. I highly recommend going and we will be going back for sure.
Stopped for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after labor day. Great atmosphere, customer service and flavorful food. Huge margaritas! We sampled corn chowder which was amazing, quesadillas, sweet potato, tacos and chips with salsa and queso. Watermelon salad and chopped salad. Highly recommend
Our first visit here and we will definitely come back. Everything was fresh, the servers were friendly and helpful and the Margueritas were tasty and large!!
Visiting my in-laws in Lewes for the weekend and had dinner at Agave. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The place is very lively and very clean. Busy Saturday night! Our server, Kim, was so great. Very friendly and attentive. We ordered the chips and queso along with pico de gallo. Delicious! Everything tasted so fresh. We had margaritas, steak tacos, chicken enchiladas, and the blue cheese quesadillas. Everything was delicious. I loved the spicy mayo on the steak tacos. We ended our dinner with a homemade apple crisp dessert and the cocoa leche martini. So smooth and a perfect nightcap. Parking is a little tough but the location of main street and ambiance was perfect for a Saturday night dinner!
We have eaten there for years; it had been our favorite Mexican restaurant. Something happened in the last two years…either it was sold or they hired a manager who knows nothing about running a restaurant. First, they changed the menu and about doubled the prices. I guess people complained, because they then changed the menu again, lowering the prices. Except they failed to change some prices in their system, so the menu said one price but we were charged a different (more) price. In addition, some of their dishes shrunk in size. Recently I ordered their baked sweet potato. What I got was a ramekin with tasteless whipped sweet potato. Last, we were there this week with 6 people. Before we ordered we asked the check be split 3 and 3. “We don’t split checks, but I’ll ask management.” Still no. So, 3 of us moved to a different table, ordered our drinks and food, then joined the rest of our party. We enjoyed our food all together despite their uncooperative behavior.
The owner of this restaurant should be embarrassed. While their food and margaritas are very good, they have a lot of work to do on everything else.
Food was not great. I got the fish tacos and the shell for puffy tacos tasted stale, like it had been fried and left out for a while. Prices were definitely on the higher end. I'm fine paying more if the food is good, but this was sub par.
My friend got the vegetarian burrito and said "anyone else could have made a better burrito". Please put more effort into your vegetarian offerings, they shouldn't be an afterthought.
No chips and salsa are offered for the table here, you have to pay for them.
This was our first visit here and we had high expectations. We were informed by hostess when seated that we had 2 hours to eat as they have wait times and are busy . We had lunch in the afternoon and walked right in and were seated immediately no wait though I know it’s usually busy. It was mediocre food ,not authentic, and service just ok, we felt rushed especially for spending over 100.00 on lunch. Food was good not any better than an entree at a local Mexican restaurant that is a lot less expensive. My margarita was strong and large, but I couldn’t taste any pomegranate flavor. The chips and salsa were the best thing and you have to pay for them. The burrito was tasty and fresh but doesn’t come with any sides for 25.00. Rice was hard and crunchy lacked flavor. Definitely Not worth the price, not anything exceptional. No kids options.
