Best WLM Reviews
This was a delightful dinner experience and we truly enjoyed our first time here. The restaurant is located in the heart of the downtown neighborhood and is easily accessible to the local event centers. The food was delicious and remarkably flavorful with very good quality and portion sizes that you very much get your money’s worth. The staff was so very friendly and attentive to the table and I could hear our customers saying the same thing. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming too. Parking is limited to the street so be aware of that potential limitation. It is also highly recommended to seek out a reservation for busier nights.
I had the bison burger with yuca fries. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was an early lunch, so not many people. My waitress was attentive and polite. They get an A in my tummy.
Found a good place in Hartford for Mexican food. Restaurant ambience was great. As soon as I took a place , compliments were ready. Then immediately the ordered food arrived. Food was very tasty. I recommend this restaurant.
Delicious food. We came on weekday lunch and not too many people. Ordered enchiladas and agave tacos. Both came with rice and beans. Portions are huge and served with salsa. They served tortilla chips as a welcome snack. We had beef and pork and the meat was so tender and juicy. Everything was well seasoned. Service was great and very friendly.
Agave Grill in Hartford, CT is located downtown on the corner of Ann Ucelo and Allyn Streets. This small, but vibrant restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican fare, alongside on EPIC specialty drink list. The portions are large and the staff is always upbeat, friendly, and professional.
One thing to note if you go with kids; though they DO NOT have a kids menu on their website or even in the restaurant, they do offer kid size portions of all dishes and of course have the classic go to; chicken fingers and french fries. The homemade guac is a must, and the Mango Habanero Wings, tho spicier than most places, are an awesome way to start your meal.
Dinner was good, atmosphere was a lot more calm than other similar style restaurants, which I appreciated. Service was kind, but didn't end that way.
However, we were significantly over-charged.
They automatically brought and charged us for extras we didn't ask for, charged us (without mentioning first) for simple chips and salsa that one usually gets free at most restaurants, and charged us for their mistaken food when they said they wouldn't ("we won't charge you, but we don't want it to go to waste").
$2-$6 here and there without clearing it with us is not honest service.
In a rush so couldn't get it fixed, but we shouldn't have needed to.
It was a quick dining there, Parking was luckily available along the street( pay through app), straight away went in and was received by staff and handed a table. Restaurant was 60% occupied, mostly with office folks. Got our soft drinks and chips and salsa in no time. Then ordered chicken tacos enchiladas and grilled chicken quesadillas and appetizers: the veg Empanadas. All were good
Great spot tbh. The food was delicious, portions were good, drinks were tasty, server was real nice, staff seemed to get along real well. The ONLY thing that was a letdown was the wait. I was seated at the bar by myself and put in an order, waited 30 mins and thenwas told that the printer was broken and that did was being prepped. They comped several of us drinks, which was nice, and it took an extra 6 minutes after they told us for the food to come out.. and it tasted great, else the review would not be as pleasant.
Overall, good menu, good spot to try, near many hotels if you're visiting.
