$20 restaurant week is a great deal. Best complimentry chips and salsa with 3 different options. Steak and egg burrito was a little bland but complemented we with the salsa and pico, surf and turf was great but the sauce was split and greasy on the top.
Flan was the real downside, firm, dense and almost chewey. You can feel the texture of the mold it came out of.
Great value even outside of restaurant week though
My wife and I have been eating here for about 5 years. The food has always tasted fresh. We usually get fajitas and another entree to share. This is our preferred spot, as the restaurant has been consistently delicious. I’ve included photos of the steak fajitas and the California burrito.
Agave offers quality Mexican food in a nice setting on the East side. Chips that are fresh and aren't greasy, served with 3 different kinds of salsa.
I ordered carnie asada and camarones combo. Carnie Asada was perfectly done, shrimp was clean and large. No wilted or brown lettuce! Refried beans that didn't come out of cans.
We love their Diablo Wings. Delicious sauce that is to die for.
I grew up in Southern California with abundance of authentic Mexican food. While Agave is not quite that level, it did hit the spot and we really enjoyed the wonderful service from the friendly wait staff.
I have been meaning to try this place out for a very long time and I finally did yesterday. I am upset that I didn’t go here earlier because their food is so $*%&*€^ good!! My boyfriend and I went right around 4pm ish on a Sunday and the inside wasn’t too busy and it was very relaxed. Every single person who worked there was so nice and they were very timely.
Their chips and salsa are great starters and they bring 2 types of salsa out and a bowl of pico too which was amazing. My boyfriend got carne adada and prawns (without mushrooms), and I got a chicken chimichanga with shredded chicken (I have not tried the chicken tinga there yet). Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were on point. Their rice and beans were also really good which I loved because a lot of restaurants just don’t care about those and can be quite bland. Not here though. They were delicious.
We also ordered an Agave Cadillac (alcoholic) drink to share and started with the smaller size because we had not had it before but it was so good I wished we had gotten the larger one. They also bring the alcohol out in a shot glass and you pour it and mix it in which I actually loved because there is no question about how much alcohol is in the drink. I unfortunately forgot to take a pic of the drink, but I took some of the food :)
All in all we really loved this place and it’s now going to be our go to place for Mexican food here in Redmond. It was exactly what we had wanted and nothing was disappointing. I also realized that it looks like they’ve got a patio on the back side of the building with shaded seating so I plan to go that route here someday as well.
I want to take this time to applaud Agave Cocina and Cantina not only for their amazing entrées but their incredible staff. I have been here multiple times with large groups and the server each time has been exceptional .
I want to give Jorge a special thank you for his excellent service. He was absolutely phenomenal and I hope that we get to see him again.
Agave Cocina and Cantina has been absolutely incredible each time we've been here with large number of people. They have been warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We will definitely continue to use them for our large group events in the future.
Excellent food and service! They quickly had y group seated and had water and chips and salsa. I had a shredded chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, which was very flavorful and good portion size. The staff was friendly and provided great service!

We have been coming to Agave for several years, and have enjoyed it. Last night was no different. We felt very well taken care of by our waiter Esteban. He was attentive, VERY polite, and helpful with questions about the menu. "Tell your Mom she did a great job raising a responsible, polite son!!!!
