Omgosh the food was amazing. So fresh and delicious. Looking forward to going back. And for a retired couple on social security it didn’t break the bank.
Never disappoints! Twice as large servings as other local hispanic food, they do not nickle and dime you for extra salsa, beans etc, this place is something else! We are here weekly -
First time here and will definitely be back! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. They have a variety of Mexican dishes and I didn’t know what to choose because it all sounded so good! I got the Asada Poblano which comes with grilled skirt steak, a chile relleno stuffed with oozing cheese, some rice and beans + pico de gallo and guac on the side. It was SO delicious omg! So hot and fresh. The chips and salsa were amazing too, our waiter gave us a second batch. This is by far the most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. Lovely ambience and music too. I loved it! If you’re craving a taste of Mexico, come here!
Mexican Restaurants are my favorite places to eat, especially for the first time. Agave is no exception, the festive atmosphere, excellent service and cordial atmosphere are all here. I would give a five star, but my seafood enchiladas had very little seafood in it. A few dices up shrimp pieces (about 6 morsels, and maybe some stringy crab meat, I think), and as disappointing as that may seem, the margaritas are excellent, and the Bartender's attitude, still warranted four stars.
I highly recommend this place, but not so much the seafood enchilads.

I was impressed that they had chicken mole on the menu. That puts them ahead in my book. It was a good mole, everyone makes it different. This one was sweat and cinnamon heavy. I liked that they used boneless chicken instead of the traditional chicken thighs. That is what I do at home because it is easier. Nice little restaurant, nothing out of the usual which is good and bad. All Mexican restaurants need to focus more on good tortillas. This place is no exception. They should not be an afterthought. The beans and rice were average fair.
The service is excellent. My visit today was awesome. The establishment was mostly empty, but it's usually very crowded. I was greeted and seated promptly. The chips and salsa are good. Not too spicy. I ordered carne asada tacos. Comes with beans and rice. Guacamole on the side. Reasonable price. A very good place for Mexican food. Enjoy!!
