* African Braids DFW or Afrogenix because the name pops-up differently when searching
* So I got my hair done 7.16.22 and it is now 7.19.22. I went in for Senegalese Twist. I’ve noticed several of my twist are cut in the middle from her “trimmings” and are at risk of unraveling. My natural hair is already showing thru my twist and one of my twist even has a braid in the middle of it (see photos)
* I’m out of town, so I can’t even go and get it fixed. I’m having my sisters put rubber bands, clips and holding spray on them just so they can last through my vacation
* Reached out to owner, she stated she would call but no response.
* Shop is very small. There was a lot of confusion when we arrived. I setup appointment for Senegalese Twist and they were trying to convince me to get box braids to be more convenient for them.
* I recommend you get all prices in writing as it may change when you come to get your hair done. Also may want to send a picture of your natural hair length because having too much hair affects the price
* Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.
The worst braid shop. These are supposed to be medium knotless braids yet the density of the braid is small so now my hair doesn’t look full. Now I’m going to have to fix it somehow. Wasted 180 dollars. NEVER EVER AGAIN
This is unacceptable like I would lie about my child’s hair . The braids are so loose and unprofessional the manager is even unprofessional ! DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME
Brought my baby up there yesterday for lemonade braids and they did not disappoint ! They weren’t to rough with her and the braids where not too tight ! So she slept comfortably the same night ! and my baby absolutely loved her Braider and they worked w me on the price
This braiding shop is the best I ever visited. They braid fast and neat. So glad to see my African Sisters doing their best. I can’t wait to come get my hair braided again.
Worst EXPERIENCE EVER!! Aunty smells bad and goes away often to smoke she also braided my hair too tight! They are not professional she ask me to take her home and for food ran to my car scared me saying her ride left her I will never come back told me to go to hell now all of my edges are gone she noticed I had lovely thick long hair and was jealous so she didn’t want to work actually asked me to blow my own hair out and why not do it myself the worse experience ever don’t go here
The woman who did my braids did an excellent job. They all worked together to get my hair done because I was a client without an appointment. Someone canceled on me and they were a life saver in helping me get it done. Im So happy with my hair. She worked with what I asked for and the price was exactly what I was looking for. Some places are over priced. I've already referred 3 people. I had so many compliments within an hour of it being done when I went to the store.
I walked in today, a Friday afternoon to see if they had time to cornrow my hair for crochet braids I was putting in myself. I did not expect them to have time on a weekend, but they were all so friendly and sweet and someone started on my hair right away. My hair was cornrowed in 25 min, I was so impressed with how fast it was done! The braids were tight, which was fine except for the edges which hurt a lot, but that was my fault for not asking that they leave my edges out. The work was impeccable and I will definitely be back. Thank you!
