Best WLM Reviews
Food was good. Greens that came with jollof was delicious. Service is abysmal. They brought most of our food out and forgot one of our dishes so we had to walk to the kitchen to ask about it and they still never brought it. Food took a while to come out. It was busy but would have appreciated communication atleast. I think our server left in the middle of our stay and no one check in on us afterwards.
It’s very rare that I ever leave a review, but for this one I will. It was my family and I first time in Dallas and we came to dine in at this restaurant. When we walked in we weren’t even greeted. We were just standing there to see if we were going to be seated somewhere, but we had to go up front to the guy for him to tell us that we can sit anywhere. We ordered our food which was even over priced and we waited for a while to be served. The food wasn’t that good. We had to go get our own drinks and had to open our bottle drinks with our teeth .The vegetables we ordered (pondu) tasted like it wasn’t cooked the same day. The fish, chicken, goat, suya, Jollef rice was spicy (it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted the food to be spicy or not). We ate what we could and we were ready to pay and the guy was so rude. He didn’t even bring the check to us at the table. He was seated in the front and asked how many drinks we got and what was the payment method and told us to come to him. Also when it was time to pay we didn’t even get a receipt and he just told us the price of the food ( what we ate didn’t even go with the price ). We definitely won’t be dining at this place ever. If I could give this review a 0 I would. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to dine in there.
The food was very delicious, but no one was in the store to wait on me initially. The owner was at her other store next door. I had to wait a while for my food due to this. However the food made up for this!! I will definitely come back!!
My cool bro in law from Nigeria received his US Citizenship ???????? so we celebrated nicely & finely! Delish Egusi, chapati, jollof rice and lots of awesome drinks! Music ???? and fellowship, we related with a long chat up well, and took The Lord’s Day with thankfulness…. ????????????????????
God bless Texas! ❤️ And God bless ???????? America, my home sweet home! Indeed! ????
The food is too expensive and the service is horrible as well. A simple dish will cost you $27 and if you order fish or fufu it will cost you $20 then it will take you more than two hours to be served. I too my wife here for a lunch and we had wait for more than two hours to get served because there’s one man who’s the Chef, waiter and a cashier himself. A simple meal for two of us costed $100.00. You can get a better deal and better service somewhere else. Africans like to overcharge almost anything and they delivers a very poor service as well.
The goat meat is always tender the flavor is authentic. The spice is perfection, I asked if they could mix a dish something they normal don’t do and got a surprise ???? made my long day end beautifully!!! My favorite African restaurant hands down.
For 2 meals is came out to be about $60 which is AMAZING !!! The food taste so authentic , it’s cooked upon order so everything is Hot and fresh . and we NEVER have a problem with the food . If you don’t know what to get I’d recommend the Egusi with assorted meat (right corner in the picture below) or the Eru with goat (left corner in the picture below) the Egusi is a very flavorful and is my go to . If you’d like something with spice go with the Eru . The Eru is a spinach dish that has a spicy kick of flavor with just enough spiciness - not to overwhelming …..and both of those come with yam fufu . We drove 45 minutes just to get to African village and it was well worth it EVERYONE is welcomed and the workers will explain to you what the dishes are if you are a first timer . if I could give more than 5 stars I would .
Waited too long, didn't seem like fresh rice at all. When paying bill,,was rushed like a thief to return the signed credit card receipt. Dont need to go through that stress to spend my money. I person working, period; including in the kitchen
