Late share, as this happened on Thursday night. Had salmon and jollof rice. Both were amazing! Salmon was cooked very well and was delicious. Jollof rice was probably as close to what I had in Ghana as I've tasted so far since being back stateside, so I'm absolutely thrilled about that. Certainly a recommend and I fully intend to return in the future.
I almost never leave bad reviews but im Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered the cassava leaf with white rice. the rice was hard and crunchy and you can tell it wasn't fresh and they gave me little meat. I feel ripped off
I 100% recommend! The food was amazing, as it really was savory and the portions for the price at which it was given is amazing; I had to freeze the leftover food for a week. As I am west african, other African restaurants I have went to were not as good as African Small Pot. Hands down amazing! I loved the dine-in experience as I went with a group of people, it was really nice. The price all the way up to the serving of the food and service was truly nice. (Hopefully the picture I took tell you all you need to know)
I purchased red snapper fried its was so delicious. Highly recommend. The atmosphere inside is very peaceful and clean.
I recently picked up a Red Snapper Fish dinner with brown rice from The African Small Pot for my dinner. While I waited, I was served a comforting cup of hot tea, which added a nice touch to the experience. The fish was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and paired well with the hearty brown rice. The staff was welcoming, and the service was efficient. I highly recommend The African Small Pot to anyone in search of authentic and tasty African cuisine.
Brother Abdur-rahman was very nice welcoming and accommodating on my catering order. The food was delicious. And the bissup juice was tasty. May Allah bless their business.
Fantastic West African food ranging from mildly spicy to very hot. Yassa Poulet (mildly spicy) had generous portions of chicken, rice, peppers and onions. If you like extra spicy, try the fufu (mashed cassava) and beef stew. Staff was very friendly. Chef Diop came out to great us. Lots of free parking across the street. Their custom juice blend of Bissap & Ginger is excellent. Located on a South Philly block called Little Africa.
I like the food and service is good and The restaurant is very clean. And they have many tables and chairs.you can sit anywhere with a family.Enjoy your meal.
