The staff was terrible and rude! We were trying to figure out what to order and they were very short and impatient and did not want to answer any of our questions regarding portions or ingredients. We spent over $120 on 4 meals and didn’t finish a single one. The oxtails were a slap in the face. The portions of protein are very small for how much you’re paying and goat was so tough you could barely chew it.
The food is amazing. I loved it.
Certain places the food is too rich with seasoning so It was refreshing to find this place. I love the goat soup, beef stew is delicious. I ate so much I couldn’t move afterwards. The food hits the craving.
I drove 45 mins and I paid $80 for $30 worth of food if that.
I ordered a fufu meal with ox tail as my protein and I got one hard ox tail that was $15 dollars alone and I got another fufu meal with a mix of chicken and beef that only consisted of 3 little tiny pieces of meat.. and that was 10 dollars by itself.
The okra was good nothing to it
I wanted 2 orders of jollof rice but ordered online and somehow only get veggies that looked like they were from a can???? which I didn’t even want veggies I wanted rice.
I called and told them I was already home and realized I didn’t get 2 orders of jollof rice and they said that next time I come in I can get it for free which I did appreciate the accommodations but it’s just simply not enough for how horrible this meal was???? I wish I could take my money back as it’s not easy to come by.
Had our team in town for the week and wanted to try something new. Because we have a few Nigerian team members we thought West African would be a cool thing to expose the rest of the team to. So we choose African Palace and it did not disappoint. We did a take out lunch with all kinds of different dishes and all were great. The owner was also very gracious in providing us water bottles and some snacks while we waited for our large order.
$67 dollars wasted, I ordered the whole tilapia meal and curry chicken meal. Picked up the food and it doesn’t taste freshly cooked and didn’t smell right either. I definitely won’t be returning! Please don’t waste your money!
The lady at the counter was really nice. But I ordered a la carte to ensure that I would get proper portions. This is what I got for $40. And the goat is tough The rice is undercooked and the egusi soup is salty. Won't go back again. You shouldn't come either if you don't want to be robbed for whatever funds that you may have when trying to enjoy a simple meal.
Very bomb. Their egusi soup is so flavorful. I love it. Their fried plantains are the best. The jollof rice is good too.
I ordered a fufu meal, ate it and a few minutes later I threw up???? the food is gross and too expensive for the portions and the taste. The soup had a gross after taste and I may have food poisoning
