On arrival, it seemed completely empty. Then was greeted with a simple hi. So we asked do they have food and can we sit. Anyways, we sit and grab our own menus which have names of African dishes...no descriptions. And noone there to explain. Like, do they know not everyone knows what's in the dishes? So we took time looking for ingredients on our phone and found so many different recipes so it wasnt easy. Jolloff rice, white rice, fufu was good. My peanut soup was flavorful but the meat in it.... literally was the most toughest meat I have ever experienced ???? My friend doesn't like cray fish or tripe or beef skin but unknowingly ordered the egusi soup which has them all. Spider webs everywhere. 'Not serving alcohol at the moment' Listen...too much hassle.
The lady that owned the store Ms. Georgette has a good soul and a welcoming smile. She made sure we felt at home and was very patient with us, being though that it was my sister and I first time coming here. She was very kind and it seems she is also very passionate about her work. Her food was delicious and it wasn’t very spicy at all, just a little kick. Her food was freshly made, we loved every minute we had to wait for our meal, it was worth it because had a warm smile on her face the entire time.
I have Never ???????? Had Eggusi Soup that taste like Chiiterlings pig stomach. I Brought a friend to try eggusi for the first time and she Hated and We wasted $40 I have had it several time from different restaurants and this is the first time I was so disappointed.
I ordered lamb yassa, they only gave me 6 cut up small pieces that looks like it can go into a stir fry I spent 29 dollars just for some onions and rice
African Restaurant. OMG ???? ???? ???? their food was just so delicious. BUT VERY SPICY!!! Even for me. I know i love spicy food but this was crazy spicy. Well that's the Asun (peppered goat meat). Every other thing was okay. Atmosphere. Ambience. Ample Parking space etc. Good Nigerian music from start to finish. We had FUN!!! The DJ was funny sha????????????????
This is my first time going to this restaurant so far great
Nice Staff and food is tasty! I believe this place turns into a club at night or it may just be on the weekends. I don't go out this way often it's all the way in Forest Park and I'm in Atlanta. Whenever I go to Sikas to get my hair braided I always stop there to get food! The Dibi (grilled lamb) is delicious and I really like the mustard onions? I believe it's family owned the people are so kind. They also make delicious okra soup? It will have you going to the restroom but hey what's wrong with that LOL
You have to be careful when you turn in because it's coming off of a very busy street.... But there is always parking available when I go....I'm not sure about that night though
If you're anywhere near the airport I would suggest that you try this delicious authentic African food because I have never been disappointed! I took my friend there recently but she didn't really enjoy the egusi stew..I guess they make it different at other restaurants. They also serve fufu I know you tiktokers love fufu ????
Highly disappointed I ordered here before and received my entire order, this time I was missing everything that came with the okra soup I ordered. When I called they gonna say I should have added the sides in the notes, how was I to know that I had to write that in the notes when it shows it came with the order. Wasted 40 dollars ???????? last time ordering here. Not happy at all ✌????
