Have had several experiences taking family or for self and always excellent care. Providers listen, give excellent care, office staff are polite, helpful and answer questions, when my daughter was to sick to sit in lobby they were willing to call or come get her so she could lay in her car reclined. They try to be fast but depending how many people there also for treatment you might have to wait but I have waited longer with scheduled appointments to see doctors and much longer in ERs so considering that they are doing good for time ultimately, especially considering their physicians and nurses do actually take the time to listen, get records and give proper exams every time for each patient. If you book a time listed and preregister it is also helpful to get you or your loved ones seen a bite faster. They also if necessary will order test like ultrasounds , send out blood work, write referrals outside of the office to find proper diagnosis unlike many other urgent cares that leave you in the same situation you came in there with saying ' follow up with your general practice doctor ' if they can't find the cause of the illness right there in the office, they don't do that, which is especially helpful if your are out of town doing a job, traveling or not established with a doctor. I recommend AFC to all my family and friends if they can't see their GP or not haveing ER level issue.
I have been a patient previously but took my 3 year old for the first time this evening. They were amazing with her. It was quick, easy, and painless. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.
I've been to this facility several times and have always been very pleased with the care received and the staff. Today I went just for a painful splinter in my thumb that I couldn't see well enough to remove myself. The PA who treated me was exceptionally thorough, gentle, personable, and professional. She found several other small splinters that I thought were only small punctures, yet she carefully examined each small wound until she was satisfied every area was clear. I couldn't ask for better care, nor a more pleasant and helpful staff. Thanks to all for an easy, pleasant experience.
AFC Urgent Care in Hixson has impressed me again and again. They are always helpful and friendly. The medical staff listen and are gentle and patient with the little ones. They have been a blessing to our crew who always seems to need care after hours. I would gladly recommend them.
I love that I can update my records on my phone while I wait. I was called back within 5 minutes of completing my records update. The practitioner who saw me was very friendly and thorough. It was a great experience.
Dr. Tamara Hughes was wonderful! She was compassionate, caring and obviously very skilled clinically. We were more than satisfied with her and all the staff from the front desk, nursing and the X-ray technologist. I will recommend this facility for sure!
The nurse did a pretty good job BUT they do not go in order! First come, first serve. I was very disappointed that they decided my African American son didn't have an "urgent" problem. Again the nurse was polite and professional as can be. They need to do better!!!!
