Upon arriving to urgent care, I was greeted by two wonderful ladies at the desk, who were compassionate and helpful. The time to be seen was less than 10 minutes. The two nurse assistance were professional and a delight to be around in spite of my pain. The nurse practitioner was thorough and prompt to get my pain under control and get X-rays done. Over all it was a great experience and highly recommend this facility and staff!
Woke up today deciding I couldn’t allow my lung congestion, cough and likely sinus infection to worsen into pneumonia. Made an easy appointment on line at AFC Urgent Care on Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, and was in the front office in 20 minutes for an actual appointment rather than walk-in. Finished short acknowledgement of sign-in on line and saw medical provider within 5 minutes. MA was knowledgeable, personable and listened to my complaint, not putting words in my mouth to hurry me along. PA Taylor acknowledged my symptoms immediately from what I had told the MA. He was personable in a professional manner showing his care for my concerns. PA Taylor evaluated me thoroughly, by his comments he had already made himself familiar with my extensive history and quickly made a plan for care that I agreed to as an old retired RN. I was out of the office in 30 minutes after getting a painless injection and had my prescriptions picked up within the hour at my local pharmacy. Thorough, caring, efficient and quick by all personnel from front desk to discharge. I have referred family to this clinic in the past and will continue to do so, especially if this provider and staff remain here.
The lady at the front desk was so kind and so helpful to my daughter and I and soon after we got checked in we were called back. The nurse who took my daughter’s vitals was fantastic and made her feel safe and comfortable. When the guy came in to check her ears, he heard our concern and gave us very useful advice and was able to help my daughter. Overall a wonderful experience as a first time patient there!
My visit was an excellent experience. I was seen almost immediately (I visited in the morning on a weekday), the front office staff were kind and courteous, the physician who attended me was patient and knowledgeable, and the out of pocket fee was reasonable. I felt very comfortable at this Urgent Care and plan to return if I experience another urgent medical issue.
Honestly, the nurse was absolutely wonderful. She was kind and professional. I had a urine test for bladder infection and the Dr said it was negative. I left there and went directly to the ER where I was found to have a “raging” bladder infection. Something is absolutely wrong regarding that testing.
The people at the front desk were kind of rude. They weren’t billing my insurance and I had to pay over $100 out of pocket to even get back to see a doctor. As a college student, that’s not ideal and ridiculous. The doctor who looked at my ear was beyond amazing though! She made the experience so much better. She was incredible!
As always, the staff at AFC Urgent Care were amazing. I go to this Urgent Care when I am sick because I leave feeling better than when I arrived. I know the Doctors and PAs are knowledgeable and treat me as if I was one of their family members. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I love the cleanliness of the waiting area and the rooms. I also like the fact that you can register yourself online and also do paperwork online. Every step of the process of being seen by a physician, is beyond the best!
Do not take your kids here. My Kid has been sick for a week with a respiratory virus and the PA refused to give her any medicine at all. Complete joke. Had to call back after we got home and my daughter kept coughing her head off and burning up with a fever . PA called back and got attitude because I wanted her to have cough syrup and an antibiotic because of her ear infection also. Keep your kids away from this place ..
