Best WLM Reviews
I was greeted by Jessica who was so genuine and joyous. She was my first impression to a great experience. Dining at Añejo was one of a kind. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Started with the guacamole (seasoned perfectly) and chips which paired well together. I ordered rice and beans. The kitchen is free flow or something so as the food is prepared, it comes to the table. The rice and beans both complimented each other so well. Best rice and beans I've ever had. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were the BEST. My date ordered the pork belly tostada and loved them. The non-alcoholic drinks were very good. Sweet heat had a major kick to it but the Seance was nice and perfect. Went around 6pm on a Saturday and was able to be seated right away. Reservations require a credit card but there isn't a hold and you won't be charged unless you don't show or cancel. FYI. I had a wonderful time and already scheduling my next visit.
Añejo Philadelphia is a delightful culinary gem that truly captures the essence of modern Mexican cuisine.
I started my meal with the Guacamole & Salsa Combo, which was a perfect introduction to the flavors to come. The guacamole was creamy and paired beautifully with the bright, zesty salsa—an ideal accompaniment to my refreshing mojito that added a nice herbal twist to the experience.
For the main event, I indulged in the Shrimp Tacos, and they did not disappoint. The crispy gulf shrimp stole the show, delivering a satisfying crunch with each bite. The combination of guacamole, tomatillo, pico de gallo, chipotle crema, and cotija cheese created a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Each element complemented the others perfectly, making for a truly memorable taco experience.
To cap off the evening, I couldn't resist the Flavorful Margaritas Flight. It was the perfect finale, showcasing a range of unique flavors that left me wanting more. Each margarita was crafted with care, providing a delightful balance of sweetness and tartness.
Overall, my visit to Añejo Philadelphia was a culinary journey that I thoroughly enjoyed. The vibrant flavors, thoughtful presentation, and warm atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in exceptional Mexican cuisine. Highly recommended!
Side note: It’s Philly what do you expect? ???? you may get lucky with side street parking ????️ but if not, park in the lot up the street which is free it has a small plaza with stores which has two levels and yes, it’s free to park.
The welcome was very friendly, all the dishes I ordered were delicious and at a good temperature, the birria and the ceviche were my favorites. The drinks I ordered were also great, my congratulations to the entire team, especially the chef!!
4/5 stars because:
Bathroom lines are brutal.
Service can be slightly slower however that's just because they can be busy.
Prices are competitive at 3 tacos for $22 matches white plains NY prices.
Overall enjoyable experience, highly recommend the brussel sprouts and chorizo, the Mexican rum coffee, and the birria tacos :)
Shots come in those little glasses and are expensive.
My friends and I went for their bottomless brunch which came with unlimited guacamole, chips and salsa, French toast, as well as brunch cocktails (margaritas, mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Mary), and your choice of an entree.
It was a wonderful brunch, probably one of the best ones I’ve been to, especially for the price.
Our waitress was WONDERFUL! She consistently checked in on us and made sure we were all satisfied.
The food and drinks came out quickly. Everyone at the table raved about the salsa and guacamole. The servings were large and everyone left stuffed!
It wasn't overly packed. Music had me jamming but not too loud that it would make it difficult to have a conversation. Food was amazing. The guacamole and salsa combo is a good starter, 4 different types of salsas. The guacamole was okay. I had the Arrachera Skirt Steak for my entree. Slliced skirt steak, topped with grilled leek and pomegranate seeds, served with yucca tots, escabeche, queso fresca, and mixed greens. The mixed greens were a bit spicy but so good. The pomegranate seeds mixed in with the greens make it sweet, too.
Went here for Brunch but ended up having Lunch. The food was really good we had fish tacos, Birria tacos, street corn and a margarita flight. I didn't love the fish tacos (but I really don't love mayo so that's probably why) the birria w/ the consume was delicious. I really liked the corn as well. But the star of the show for me was the chips and salsa (which was free) I loved the blended salsa if was different with a hint of spice. The flight of margaritas was delicious as well it cost about $30. But I enjoyed trying the different flavors. Over I can't wait to go back to try the empanadas!!!
What a fabulous time we had yesterday at the brunch special. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff and service was top notch. Oh and the food, the food was sooooo good. The drinks, the drinks, the drinks. Oh baby. I can't wait to go back.
