My family and I used to love going to eat at Aegean Pizza but we visited this evening for the first time in a few years and the restaurant has certainly changed a great amount. Upon entry, the waitress turned and quietly said, "I'll be with you in a minute," without any greeting.
We ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks for the table while I got the veggie sub sandwich. The food took longer than normal to come out even though there were very little people in the restaurant. The mozzarella sticks, which we ordered as an appetizer, weren't brought out until the rest of the food was. The waitress claimed they all came together but the appetizers were cold and had clearly been left out. The quality of the pizza was nothing like it was when we frequented this place in the past. My sandwich turned out okay but the bread did seem to be a little overdone.
We asked for parmesan cheese and the waitress never brought it at all. One in our party waited a while for a refill. The only things that were quickly brought to the table were a to-go box and the check.
The man that checked us out at the counter asked how everything was and we mentioned the appetizer being cold. He initially didn't acknowledge it but he did eventually offer a free dessert to make up for it. While I appreciated the gesture, I politely declined, although I would have preferred that the mozzarella sticks were taken off the bill instead.
I do appreciate the attempt to rectify the situation but the quality of the food and service is just not up to their standards from the past.
We were able to use the back room for a bridal shower. From the first phone call and throughout the planning process, the owner/ manager was most helpful and made it an easy process. The pizza and salad buffet was DELICIOUS and Irene, our server, was on top of everything. The guests were happy and the shower was a great success. This was a fantastic experience! I heartily recommend you give them a try
Went in with friends / family for some pizza and loved every bite. We ordered four pizzas: steak, medium wing, margarita, and supreme. These pizzas were not greasy and all tasted great, would absolutely come back to try other items. If you like dessert then definitely try the tiramisu and canolis! Ask for Irene ????
I've been here a handful of times here and it's been amazing every time. The margherita pizza is my favorite, closely followed by the buffalo wing pizza. Service is quick and very friendly, definitely a go-to restaurant in the area
Aegean Pizza had a very good lasagna dish. It had the perfect amount of meat and cheese in my opinion. The salad it came with was great as well
Decent food, friendly service at a fair price. Will go back again for the pizza.
I pick up Uber Eats here, they seem very friendly and I hear the pizza is awesome, some people ordering from far away. I think they need a better sign and promote their business to get the word out. I've lived in Gaffney 5 yrs and didn't know it even existed, but all the customers I deliver to say they love it. I'll come eat soon to see for myself.
The Stromboli is dry no sauce who in the world ever heard of raw onions when you make a Stromboli. Never again don’t do it. You will be very disappointed.
