Best WLM Reviews
I don’t usually write reviews, but I just wanted to share this as someone who was has my issues with advantagecare physicians specifically the one in flushing (avoid that one at all costs). Firstly, the facility itself looks very nice and up to date, the front desk receptionists were nice and checked me in. I booked an appointment with Dr. Kazi Ara and may I just say WOWW she’s seriously the best Dr. , of the doctors I’ve met with at advantage care most of the doctors I have meet with have tried to brush me off with my concerns , she was very attentive and reassuring when I was addressing my issues. You can tell she cares for patients and wants to help you with your health concerns . The quest lab tech that took my blood downstairs I wish I got her because she also was extremely nice and helped me feel calm when my blood was getting drawn as someone who get anxiety from needles I appreciated her. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit.
first off they are terrible with their wait times. i think if your appointment is at 1:00, the latest you should be waiting for a doctor without any explanation is 1:10. It is incredibly inconsiderate of people’s time to be at least a half hour late with no communication
second, ive seen 5 practitioners here and 4 have been dismissive of my concerns. i didnt feel like they cared at all about what i was saying and none of them materially addressed my concerns. i saw dr. wen and NP Klein who looked at my labs, saw a ferritin level of 6 and heard my descriptions of symptoms of anemia and told me it was normal. there was almost an attitude of why are you whining, stop being dramatic. because i was losing my hair from my symptoms, i asked dr. wen to check my scalp to see if it was permanent hair loss or temporary. she told me there was no way to check for that. but dr. wen did you know there is? i know this because i went to a dermatologist who checked and it took her all of one minute to look at my scalp and determine it was temporary. months later i spoke to another doctor who confirmed i have anemia and put me on medication to treat it. doctors like those are the reason people hesitate to trust their health providers
e: i received a phone call from a patient representative. i told them i was on the train and could they please call me back in 15 minutes. they said they would but never did and when i called back the office was closed. more outstanding service from advantagecare
e2: the obgyn provider is also one of the least friendly doctors I have ever encountered. genuinely made me cry. she did not remember pretty much any thing i told her from our previous appointment. i never want to come back to her again. she misdiagnosed me and scared me away from a procedure that would have saved me a lot of grief
They take forever to complete medical forms. Dr. Shilawanti is highly unprofessional and commented that “having big arms is not good” even when it’s because I work out.
If I could give this place no stars I would. The worst expirence ever.First got there place is unwelcoming looks like and feels like a bank.I was uncomfortable and wanted to leave but we waited and waited.Asked someone said they would find out then dissapeared happened 3 different times like the bermuda triangle. Finally called in but by then I had changed my mind about seeing the dr.This is where it became worse as I said I wanted to leave that I was uncomfortable the nurse who was as tiny as I am blocked the door.I. was polite and said excuss me.She then tells me I cant leave im thinking what the hell.I didnt theaten anyone or anything.I grabbed for the doorknob and opened it and we left.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPIRENCE.
Great place. The annual checkup was great with Dr. Walter Yee. They checked everything you need such as the important stuff. And the blood test was good.
I Visited the Center on Tues, 03-12-24. I was Greeted at the Door by a Security Guard and He asked me what Doctor and Told Me what floor to go to. Getting off the Elevator I was Greeted by another Security Guard and He Told me which side to go to. I Checked in and within 10 min i was called by the Nurse. And I was seen by Dr. Wen and I explained my Situation and I was Examined and My CDAP Paperwork was Filled out by the Doctor and Nurse. I was in the Center for About 1 Hour. And Everything was Done. Brand New Building and Extremely Wheelchair Accessible. Great Experience!
As a returning patient, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Dr. Michele Germain. My initial visit in 2022 was outstanding, leading me to choose Dr. Germain for my significant step of planning a family. Unfortunately, my latest appointment was far from satisfactory, prompting me to write this review.
During my visit, I experienced significant delays. My appointment was scheduled for 11 AM, but it wasn't until 11:30 AM that I was called for vitals, and around 11:40 AM, I was still waiting to see the doctor. Understanding the busy nature of medical practices, as I am an adolescent nurse myself, I inquired about the delay and was informed of the doctor's busy schedule, including multiple appointments and a procedure. A suggestion to reschedule was made, which I found to be dismissive of my time and the importance of the appointment.
The most distressing part was the lack of acknowledgement and sensitivity from Dr. Germain. As an OB/GYN, a field that demands compassion and understanding, Dr. Germain's approach was surprisingly brusque and dismissive. This not only disregarded my concerns as a patient but also impacted my emotional well-being, as I left the appointment in tears, feeling discouraged about my family planning journey.
Given my positive initial experience and Dr. Germain's history with my family, this encounter was particularly disheartening. It is important for potential patients to be aware of this experience, as it contrasts sharply with the level of care and professionalism expected in such a sensitive and critical field of medicine.
On behalf of my daughter I would give Dr. Walter Yee 0 stars if I could. My daughter canceled other appointments to get in so she could be referred to a specialist. He asked her what her hobbies were and told her to lose weight. Then he gave her a specialist that doesn’t take her insurance. What was the point??? Unbelievable.
