Best WLM Reviews

The dentist we see here is great and everyone is nice. However, we have had such extreme levels of cancellations, that we eventually had to switch clinics. We had appointments that were pushed back 4-5 times to the point that you end up entirely skipping a 6 month or even 12 month (!!!) cleaning. I simply cannot abide by that level of letting my preventative care drop. I've noticed a lot of turnover, especially in the hygienists, often last minute, so I can't imagine Advantage Dental is treating their people well. It's a shame because switching sucks and we liked the people there but not enough to excuse the extreme delays and cancellations.
The teeth cleaning itself was fine, but I would NOT recommend this company due to general cancelations (staff being or becoming unavailable: note: maybe AD has trouble finding professionals willing to work for them?), incompetence, and lack of follow through...at so many levels. Rarely, would I take the time to review, but just feel you should be warned!
Why two stars?
First off, Dr Baker and the hygienists here are good and have performed their jobs with competency in my experience. However, the receptionist staff and their overall performance when it comes to scheduling is simply unacceptable.
After my partner was rescheduled twice, each by over a month, finally on the date of the appointment we showed up and the receptionist said she wasn't on the schedule! The receptionist made excuses regarding a hygienist leaving recently (some weeks ago).
She offered no explanation for why we weren't informed, and said there was no discount in exchange for the wasted time taken off work and effort to get there.
Really disappointing and shameful behavior. Don't waste your customers time and money, gas isn't free nor is time off!
I was seen there by a dentest. I had an exam and a filling. (that has sence left this office) and the care was great. They rescheduled me a couple of times (the apts were months apart.) I finally get into the dentest in the office to get my painful tooth fixed. Im told they have to reschedule me for an exam before doing the filling brcause this dentest has not seen me. In stead of doing the exam that day in August they scheduled me for an exam in Oct.
Also they told me they took my secondary insurance but never billed them.
They don't care how much pain you are in and if they say they will make you a priority, don't believe the..
I had several tooth extractions done. Dr. Patel was the greatest. I've had horrific experiences with other dentists who wasn't gentle or patient with me and the numbing agent. Dr. Patel was very gentle, allowed the topical numbing agent to take affect before giving the shot and asked how I was before each procedure. Great set of doctors there.
Update: I would choose a different dental and denturist group if I could.
It's been a few months now since the removal of my teeth. I have been waiting for way too long to get impressions for dentures. I have been rescheduled for impressions twice already. Due to the dentist leaving and deciding not to take on new clients months after the appointment is set. It's July and denturist is set to leave in September. It doesn't take long to make impressions and a set of dentures. Even just a "first set" and have the information ready for the next denturist or to be able to send the dental history to a new clinic.
I had impressions and upper dentures within a month. These dental group in all the locations don't care for their clients just the money.
Because these people provide to OHP clients they treat us like we are less than human.
Never had a gentle extraction before today. Dr. Baker & his hygienist were awesome. I literally did not feel the tooth being taken out which is incredible & the anesthesia was well placed and the numbess wore of pretty quickly after the procedure. I was anticipating a great deal of pain & relieved not to have actually suffered too much. Thank you very much!
Steer clear, if at all possible. The office staff are completely incompetent. Generally, I am compulsively patient and understanding - but this office has pushed me over the edge innumerable times. They've screwed up the dates and times of our appts, canceled without warning, and failed to send several referrals. They often claim they are short staffed or training new people - perhaps there's a reason for that ???? This is the reason we are switching providers as quickly as possible - however, it's been like moving a mountain to get our records sent to the new office. Additionally, our dentist took up about 30 minutes of my time last exam talking about crack-pot alternative diets that are completely irrelevant to my life. If you have other provider options, go elsewhere.
Do not try to get work done here. I have had 3 appointments last second cancelled. I was told months ago the DAY BEFORE I was to get crowns that the doctor for my appointments transferred and it was going to be 2+ months until I could reschedule. Now cancelled a week before my cleaning I have waited months for and told I would not be able to get my crowns I had scheduled for. I had a permanent retainer removed for this operation and orthodontal work potentially compromised because of their incompetence.
