When I found out i was pregnant, I made an appointment right away with Dr. Reyes. At first things felt good, but then I was scheduled an ultrasound to see the baby developing, this was very early in my pregnancy. I did tried to explain that it was too soon for my baby to show in the ultrasound, they still went ahead and scheduled me. Of course once I went to the ultrasound I was freaking out because the baby wasn’t as developed as they thought he will be since they got my weeks wrong and also my due date wrong. I was worried for over 2 weeks until I had to go back again and get a second ultrasound to make sure everything was going fine. I was also experiencing abdominal mild pain, Dr. Reyes didn’t say much about it, just made it seem like it was normal, but then when I logged in on the portal she wrote a note about “possible miscarriage”. I began to have doubts, and she would send me different testing that wasn’t needed, I even had to go to my family doctor to confirm with him because I simply didn’t trust her anymore. Also her nurse wasn’t helpful at all, she seemed like she hated her job. Thankfully I moved states and she is no longer my Dr anymore. This is my first pregnancy and she made me feel scared through the beginning of my pregnancy. I understand that she speaks Spanish so her language skills might come in handy for you, but is not worth it. I recommend you to find another OB. She wasn’t helpful to me, and it somehow felt like they just didn’t care as much nor were they as helpful as you would hope. Hopefully your experience is different from mine.
I found out I was pregnant shortly after relocating to Dallas. I was nervous finding a new doctor and was not sure what to expect. Everyone at Advanced Women’s Healthcare has been amazing and so helpful through this whole process. Dr. Heintges always goes above and beyond and we always look forward to our visits with her. I would highly recommend Advanced Women’s Healthcare!
This place is horrible, and for many reasons. First and foremost, you need to know that they offer a discount on 5D ultrasounds for pregnant women who give 5 star reviews. So, take that into consideration.
I switched my care halfway through my pregnancy from this office to another. One of the reasons being that I was there for 2-3 hours minimum for each appointment. That’s how behind they run. Additionally, getting someone on the phone is nearly impossible, not just your doctor or nurse, but even the front desk staff.
Would recommend finding another place to get your OBGYN care. This place overbooks and underserves.
As someone newer to seeing a gyno I have had more issues than good experiences. Dr.Reyes has always been pleasant but the staff and scheduling process has always been a nightmare. My first appointment was forgotten about (even after asking) and I waited over 2 hours. My second appointment was just as bad as they did not inform me that Dr.Reyes was on call and told me I was going to have to wait an hour an and a half or more. I ended up leaving because I had other obligations that day. I then had to reschedule and got a text saying they had to cancel my appointment and reschedule. Not sure how this place continues to operate when they treat their patients like numbers and the front desk staff is not friendly. Nor when you call are they friendly, they sound like it’s a burden to call for questions. I just need my prescriptions filled and that’s impossible when I can’t be seen.
FTM here. I am seeing Dr. Reyes and my experience has been great for the most part. In the first trimester I have had to go get two extra ultrasounds just to make sure baby was okay. The scheduling was easy the tech and Dr. Reyes were great and got my concerns. However after that I felt that things weren't down hill a bit, mainly with her nurse. I would have questions and would get told she would ask Dr. Reyes and get back to me but sometimes she wouldn't get back and I had to ask at my next appointment. I do get that they are busy but I feel like every time I go she doesn't remember exams we've done or know about me. She's always rushing.
My chart also takes 3 weeks to update which I find crazy. I've had a yeast infection and a UTI (which I've never had before so I didn't know the symptoms) | got checked at my appointment and it wasn't until l checked my chart 3 weeks later that I found out I had it. I had to call them and ask if I needed medication for it which they would then send me within 24 hours. This has been the reddest flag for me so far.
Where do I begin. Several issue. Started with vver charging me. We had to print and show the front desk we get free ultrasounds, she gave us a hard time. I was unable to get my money back but they gave me a credit.
My Dr quit working there. I changed Sr office completely after that.
Since they set me up on a payment plan for the birth of my child. They were charging me over $400 a visit (with insurance) for my pregnancy. I was told I would receive a refund and it’s been over 6 months because they keep coding my bill wrong with the insurance company.
You are a number here. Please beware
I highly recommend this OBGYN office. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable. When I had concerning issues or questions, they were not ignored and could see me that day or the next. There was someone always to answer my questions when needed. Also, I never had issues scheduling appointments or ultrasounds. I just wanted to give a special shout-out to Dr.Reyes and her nurse Vanessa for always making me feel seen and cared for. Thank you, ladies!
I have been seeing Dr. Harms for almost 3 years and I can honestly say that she is a blessing, an angel on earth. She listened to all of my concerns, she is always very gentle when needing to do a biopsy. I have recommended her before and I’ll continue to do it!
