Best WLM Reviews

You don’t get a low 2.1 rating for nothing (to you people that think this place is so great). My husband’s pain physician wanted him to get steroid knee injections and recommended he come here for that. I thought it was rather odd because steroid injections can be done very easily in a PCP office or in an orthopedic office. Anyway, we had the unfortunate experience of coming to this joint. Appt was at 10am and we were finally seen at 10:50. They would not let his wife come back (maybe I know too much?
The medical assistant tells him that the reason for visit today was to test which nerves in lumbar area of back would be marked for burning. He questioned why that was planned because his pain doctor said specifically it would be knee injections she said well, I guess we are done then. We would never agree to this method of treatment. All i can say is run, not walk from this hell hole and never look back. If you are not an educated person and know what is going on you may suffer some serious damage
Waiting an hour and a half for the doctor with no one telling you anything is unacceptable! If any of them went to a restaurant and had to wait for their reservation they would be furious. As the staff sit and knit a sweater is again unacceptable. No regard for the people at the pain clinic sitting in pain for an hour after appointment time. Should have been called to say the doctor was running late. But if we show up late. They will not see you and bill you. Wexford is the worst Cade Kessler is the office manager. He was not in.
Look, I will never claim anyone is perfect and there is no business that is either, but I question a lot of these negative reviews. I have been a patient at the Wexford office for years and I have never have had much of a problem. Occasionally there is a long wait that is uncalled for, but that isn't often. I have had a lot of procedures done here from a steroid injection to a rhizotomy and they have always been professional about it. If anyone has ever had problems with Lauren then I hate to say this but you had to have been rude yourself because she is nothing but professional, informative and kind. I have had issues with one PA there and made it known and now they refrain from scheduling me with him. The rest of the PAs have been incredible. Calling in can be an issue and scheduling can be rough sometimes, but all in all they have taken good care of me and I cannot complain about my care here. You have the ability to go somewhere else if you are not happy, that is what makes this country great.
West Mifflin location- From beginning to end of the appointments, you are treated with courtesy and respect from the front office staff.
Dr. Mitros and the PAs are extremely thorough with giving initial exams, then explains at length what the treatment plan will be moving forward.
He listens very well and cares about the needs of the patient. He will also take your input and recommendations into consideration before making any decisions. I can honestly say out of all the pain doctors I've seen in the last 20 years, he is the most patient and caring of them all and did not rush me during our visit.
Unlike other reviews i have read, they do no push procedures. Most people do not understand that procedures are beneficial and long lasting in most cases. it is the obligation of the staff to recommend something like that prior to more invasive techniques.
I am thrilled i found him because i know he will put my needs first
I like the doctors that being said the only person ever to rub me wrong who was rude and treated me like I wanted drugs was Jason F. , Even though the reason I found APM was to get off medicine.
The other issue is when making my appointments I only get to see a P.A. (even though they are nice and knowledgeable) when going to the office I saw a doctor 4 times in 18 months unless getting a procedure.
I can't say anyone was rude ever except Jason and I told the doctor and never had to see him since. It isn't unusual to wait for specialist but honestly if just seeing a P.A. I understand why so many on here have issues with that. In my opinion the results are worth it.
HORRIBLE experience with steroid injection appt. I was told to arrive 30 min before my 2:15 appt today. I walked in to a waiting rm and no receptionist (just a trainee who told me to wait) and waited 5 min. Check in was relatively easy...then the wait. They took 2 people before me and when I asked them at 2:35 (20 min after my appt time) what the estimated time would be to wait, I was told conflicting things. The receptionist then told the trainee to take me back...the hallway and rooms were disgusting. Dirt everywhere, the "new" pillow case had more dried stains on it than a hotel mattress, and medical equipment (BP cuff, pulse ox) of lesser quality that what I have at home from Amazon. I waited over 5 minutes and heard from the hall that there was still a patient ahead of me, so I asked to be removed from the schedule to leave. I was then told I "came in at the wrong time" (despite my showing my appoint card that THEY mailed me with the time I arrived on it) and that I had to wait another HOUR in the dirty room for the possibility of a steroid injection. I wasn't even there for pain meds. The only provider (a PA named Lauren, not an MD) in the office came out and argued with me and was extremely rude, as was the receptionist. They blamed "scheduling" for the error even though it was the receptionist (Jill) who had called me to schedule my appt. I then asked for a co-pay refund and they charged me a SECOND TIME, giving me a receipt stating they charged my card. I will be marking it as fraud with my bank. But fair warning....this is a horrible, unprofessional office.
I just want to say that Meredith and the doctors have changed my life, they gave me a chance when nobody else would. I was in so much pain before I started seeing Meredith, Dr Mitros , Dr Hibbard and Dr Lodico and everyone have been nothing but excellent and caring the entire process. I feel so much better and owe them a lifetime of gratitude for everything they have done for me. They listen to all my corncerns and have ordered all the appropriate tests. Thank you so much for everything that you do for me! I have been feeling so much better.. thank you for everything that you have done!!!
As another reviewer noted, I'd also give zero stars if that were an option. This may very well be the worst medical facility I've ever been to, from the insane wait times to the rude staff to the frankly unqualified physicians assistants. Some quick background - I have compression fractures of my T7 and T12 vertebrae from an accident about 9 months ago. I waited over two hours to be seen today, in extreme pain the entire time I was in the waiting room. Once I was eventually seen, it was only by a nurse and then by an extremely smug and incompetent physicians assistant, upon which time I was thoroughly treated like a drug addict because I am a medical cannabis patient here in PA. So let this cautionary tale be a warning to any other MMJ patients who may need supplemental pain management: Do not come here, as they don't think of you as a real person in severe pain. Save your time, sanity, dignity, and money, and find a better clinic.
