Dr. Cabantog and his staff are kind and caring professionals!
The billing department is another thing. I paid every copay and still got past due invoices. Had to jump through hoops to prove they were all paid. The final straw and the reason I will not return to this practice is the fact that I was told I would NOT have to pay a $40 copay for a five-minute phone eval…For which they charged my insurance $850!!! That’s $170 per minute! And, they asked me the same questions that were asked in the surveys I had to take prior to my appointments!
Sounds like insurance fraud to me.
I called Billing numerous times…more than 10 and they would not return my calls. Also sent emails and detailed letters. No response to anything. I’m only paying the $40 because I don’t want them to send me to collections.
Dr. Cabantog is a great pain specialist.
Billing sucks.
Kind, professional and clean. They've treated my pain adequately for the past few months..I never wait more than a few minutes to get in and I'm treated with respect every time. They often seem short handed in the front, so leave a message, they'll call you back for sure.
If I could go below a 1 star I would STAY AWAY this place is horrible they treated me for the past year like a Drug Addict, every visit I complained about my issues and at one appointment I was told that maybe I was in more pain that day because of the weather. Be aware that they will not provide you anything for break thru pain, and only give you EXT Release Morphine.. which makes no sense that if you go from 4 pills of short acting(which actually worked) painkillers to 2 pills of the EXT release(Which didnt work other than making you wanna fall asleep all day) but literally the same exact dosage... I highly suggest you interview them before committing to their "clinic"
I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes at the longest, one time. I've always gotten right in, on time. The staff is always very kind and caring. I've always had everything explained to me. They do they're very best to make sure that you are pain-free. I recommend advanced pain medicine. I don't recall how many years I've been going there. I know it's over 4 or 5 years. So that statement alone says enough.

I have left SIX MESSAGES for the office manager. I was turned away on my initial appointment for lack of paperwork that they never sent me to fill out, and the refused to let me fill it out in the office. I reacheduled, they cancelled my appointment. Rescheduled, cancelled. FOUR TIMES I wasn't able to come in. Front office was seriously rude first day I went in, they at this point don't know me. Not the best first impression. Today?? I called today clearly frustrated as I was referred specifically to this office from physical therapy and I can't get anywhere! The woman HUNG UP on me. If you win the lottery and actually get in, I pray you are treated with respect but if you're not, you are not alone. Don't take it personally.
MaKayla Lewis is very rude for a Physician Assistant. She needs to learn how to talk to her patients better.I will never go back to this facility.
Worst place ever in extreme pain while being a patient they didn't wanna schedule mri or anything. Er told me to see pain specialist surgent did to. Pain specialist told me go to the er she couldn't help. Worst place ever stay away
Try to find another pain management group to help you with your pain. These people are horrible to work with. No matter what office you go to, you have to call their main number for any assistance. I have been trying for over 1 week to get in touch with someone and they do not have the courtesy to return my call. After getting in touch with the receptionist who lectured me about them not changing my dosage over the phone, they finally checked the notes in my last visit which said just that....I could call to have my dosage changed. But even so, they noted I called and never called the pharmacy. They hide behind voicemail and never let you talk to your doctor or PA unless you pay for an office visit. I made the mistake of not believing the ratings here. Big mistake. Reviews are accurate. This is a horrible practice only interested in $$$ and not taking care of patients.
