This is my 2nd surgery in about 5 years. I liked my Dr and the hospital well enough that when I needed something else done I chose them again. My Dr and all of the surgery staff were very friendly and profession people. I was at ease going in for this surgery with no worries or concerns. My Dr explained everything that he was going to do so I knew exactly what he was going to do.
I would refer other people to Advanced Orthopedics, my Dr and his staff anytime
The check-in process was easy, as I was able to complete it online in advance. The PA was amazing, and the doctor was equally great. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly. If you're suffering from serious arthritis like I am (mine is in the shoulder), you'll receive a comprehensive assessment and a sit-down with the doctor to review ALL of your options. You're encouraged to ask questions, and I never felt rushed. Instead, I felt reassured that solutions are available. This practice doesn't push you into anything, and it's refreshing to leave feeling like you received genuine care, rather than just being treated like a transaction.
My husband had knee surgery almost 2 years ago. We over paid and have had a $500 credit on his account. We have contacted the billing department a number of times and got the run around every single time. We have been told the lady is never in the office the cuts the checks. We have been told they only cut the checks twice a month. We have been told we don’t show you have called. It’s very frustrating considering we have been dealing with this for years.

I was not given the opportunity to discuss my issues or tell the doctor what lead to the issues that I have. The first thing that the doctor told me was that my time was limited to 5 minutes and he made it clear that he was not interested in discussing my issues. After 3 and a half minutes the doctor dismissed me and left.
This only made me feel that I only wasted my time and efforts to keep my appointment. He definitely did not help me or even attempt to help me.
I was totally disappointed in this non-interview and word salad.
Advance Orthopedics wants to charge $25 a piece to fill out FMLA and short term disability paper work in order for you to secure your job while you recover. I spoke with Terry on Friday from medical records who told me my doctor could waive these fees.she gave me the number to the Surgery Scheduler, which I called and had to leave a message. Terry from Medical Records called me on Monday and said no they couldn’t waive the fee with no explanation of why. I asked why the nurse didn’t call me back and she said they sent it back to them to call. I called and left another message with the surgery scheduler. On Wednesday, I received a call back from Lanette who was very rude. I called the Director of Operations that I found on google reviews. Lanette called me back just to tell me the Director of Operations won’t do anything.
Let’s start with the fact that I never ever leave reviews. However, the service my mother and I received at this doctors office was completely unprofessional. Not only did my mother have to wait over an hour for her appointment, BUT the two girls at the front desk were very unhelpful and unapologetic.
I was released today from my hand doctor and physical therapist at Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma here in Tulsa. I feel compelled to let everyone know what a fabulous experience I had with this group of healers. They have truly helped me heal.
I’ve had a time in my life when I needed a doctor for my back, my knee, and my hand. They have provided excellent treatment with each and every problem. This includes a stay in their excellent hospital.
Please give them an opportunity to help you like they did me. I’m grateful to them. You will be too.
