Best WLM Reviews
Jodi Holmes and her team are ON POINT. I’m military, we move every few years , i appreciate and love a medical team that I can rely on and put my faith in , they are what I’ll miss when we move next ???????? you guys are awesome
I actually liked it here for the first couple months. I got on a medicine that started to help but trying to get my prescription filled or a phone call answered or even a call back is impossible. I've been without my medicine for a week now and have called numerous times 5 out of the past 7 days, and haven't gotten a call back in over a week. Extremely unprofessional.
I have struggled with acne on and off for three years. I saw Jodie recently and she made me feel so much hope. She gave me a great plan, explained everything so much, and made me feel so comfortable. I have found my dermatologist for life! I couldn’t recommend her more.
I am posting this review in hopes of cautioning others to conduct thorough research prior to mole removal.
I recently visited this clinic for an appointment to have a few moles on my face removed, primarily due to its convenient location. In hindsight, I regret not reading the reviews before scheduling my appointment.
Upon arrival, I experienced an extensive wait time of nearly two hours in the waiting room. Once I was taken into the exam room, the nurse marked my moles for removal, and shortly thereafter, Nurse Practitioner Jodie entered. Unfortunately, our interaction was brief; she informed me that she would communicate to my insurance company that I have grooming issues in hopes of securing coverage, but mentioned that I might incur some out-of-pocket expenses. The procedure was performed quickly, and I was advised to apply vitamin ointment afterward.
Several months have passed since the procedure, and I have developed a noticeable indentation on my forehead. I wish Nurse Practitioner Jodie had taken the time to thoroughly explain the potential risks associated with mole removal, particularly in such a visible area. Consequently, I scheduled a follow-up appointment to discuss corrective options for the dent. When I called to arrange this appointment, I informed the staff of my time constraints due to an afternoon meeting. I was assured that I would be seen promptly and was advised to arrive 15 minutes early. However, I ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes after arriving early.
After expressing my concerns regarding the previous appointment's lack of attention, the nurse responded condescendingly and assured me that Jodie would be in shortly. After waiting for over 30 minutes in the exam room, I chose to leave. Jodie later called to apologize for the experience, and I expressed my concerns during that conversation. While I understand that delays can occur, this seems to be a recurring issue at this practice, as indicated by other reviews. I believe it would be beneficial for the clinic to consult with a healthcare operations expert to enhance their efficiency, as the current processes are leaving a negative impression on patients.
After originally posting my review, I did hear back from Jodie, who recommended that I consider Juvederm or Radiesse to address the indentation. She noted that she is not responsible for how a mole may heal, which is a valid point to consider if you're contemplating mole removal. However, after consulting with another physician and sharing Jodie’s recommendations, my new provider expressed concern. She informed me that she never uses filler in the forehead due to numerous reports of blindness associated with filler migration. Instead, she recommended microneedling and PRP as a safer alternative. I'm starting that process next week.
In summary, I recommend that prospective patients do their due diligence and be prepared for possible communication issues, poor recommendations, and extended wait times at this clinic.
Today was my first time visiting Advanced Dermatology & Skin Caner Associates at Arlington, and I want to say first impressions can judge on if someone will return again, and today’s appointment with Dr. Jennifer Hinders and the entire rest of the staff was a great first impression, from the lady who initially greeted us for check in, to the lady who assisted in my appointment and to Dr. Hinders great professional and caring exam and explanation of todays visit, words can’t say enough how grateful I am for helping put any concerns and questions at ease. A sincere thank you. Definitely recommend giving this clinic a chance. Keep up the great work.
Should you decide to use this office, just dedicate your entire day to each appointment. I have received average medical care; didn’t come here to highlight that.
Here I sit again, 50 minutes past my appt time. I signed in but have not been acknowledged in any way. That is typical of the staff at this location.
I have walked out once previously after being kept waiting with no explanation for well over an hour. The NP, Jodie Holmes, did call me and explain that she was running behind and agreed that her staff should have handled it differently. However… months later, the issues are the same. Long waits with no explanations.
Greet your patients. Be respectful of their time.
Edited to add: appt was on Monday. Two prescriptions to be called in. As of noon on Thursday, prescriptions have still NOT been called in. Called office, left msg.
2nd edit: noon Friday, still no Rx at pharmacy. Called office again.
Long wait in the waiting room - about an hour past my appointment time. Dr. Patel spent very little time with me (~5 minutes), interrupted when I tried to ask questions, and didn't seem interested in hearing my concerns. The whole operation seems like a vehicle to sell her personal brand of skin care products. I definitely won't be returning.
Dr. Jessica Hennan has been great when getting established as a new patient for my psoriasis. All staff was very friendly and wait time was as expected. To be completely clear for this long is a first in many years and it is wonderful not to be tearing my scalp apart.
