Staff is nice, but not thrilled overall. Never saw an MD in multiple visits, only a PA. Prescribed a cream that helped which was great. Problem is the tube was a 9 month supply, only needed a small dab each day, and now they tell me that I need an appointment to get a refill because it's been over 3 months. Not going to wait 45 - 60 minutes at an appointment, so they can call it in again.. I'm sure they would bill that as a regular appointment too. Also took multiple calls to the office to find this out.
I have been a patient of Dr Kahn for many years ar his Manhattan office and 2 years st the Staten Island location. He is the best! Dr. Kahn is professional and also personable. He puts you at ease, does a very thorough exam and answers all your questions. Office staff and professional assistants are friendly and helpful. Only negatives: 1) Advanced Dermatology's registration process is very tedious; 2) efforts to resolve an issue with a prescription was difficult ... never got call backs from the "department" that handles this ... was never resolved ... wound up paying out of pocket for the prescription.
the staff are very nice, the office is clean, my appointment didnt have a long wait and was fairly quick.
however, none of the staff informed me that either they didnt accept my insurance (or my deductible hasnt been reached or something along those lines) because a month or so later i received a $400 bill. as a college student this is pretty tough to take care of seemingly out of nowhere.
if you go here, make sure you ask the questions regarding your insurance, as in my case the staff didn't make me aware of what my actual charges were going to be.
I took my 12 year old son today to see Dr. Abdullah Khalil at Advanced Dermarology ams haven't stopped recommending him to my friends and family. I have an issue with my son's skin for a few months now and immediately when he saw him for the first time today he knew he needed to do a biosopy to get solid answers but also wanted to make sure my son was OK about it. He was gentle and reassuring since my son had watery eyes and kept making my son laugh and smile. He kept using reassuring words to my son like wow look at this beast we have right here and it only motivated my son even more. He is an amazing doctor who is skilled but also nurturing, respectful and professional. Highly recommend him!!!!
Everyone at office was pleasant and friendly and the doctor explained any concerns we had he was very nice

I went today to see PA Abdullah Khalil and it was a very nice experience!! He had to biopsy a tiny mole on my neck and I didn’t feel a thing … it was done quickly and painless … He’s very professional and very good at what he does ! I recommend him
I’ve been to three or four other dermatologists office on SI over the years and I found Dr. Kahn’s office the best run, well organized practice. The check in process is quick and painless, very little wait, the actual Dr. and not only a PA was present within minutes of my being called to the back exam room, his staff works well as a team, I was very satisfied with my visit for myself and my 2 teenagers too.
