Scared and scarred. This was my experience here. I had a lesion on my face. My former primary care doctor said it was not cancer. When the lesion still had not healed after 1 1/2 years, I went to see Nurse Practitioner 'Angel' at Advanced Dermatology. She gave me antibiotic cream, said she didn't know what the lesion was, but maybe a cyst of some kind and return to her if it didn't go away. Her manner indicated she was not concerned that the issue was urgent. She was also rude. When the lesion still persisted, I tried again with a dermatoligist there - Dr. Kim, who immediately said the lesion was cancerous, but a biopsy was needed to confirm. Her assistant did not clean my face before injecting it with numbing medication. The biopsy site was infected within 24 hours. Yesterday, I checked on the Quest Lab portal to see if maybe the biopsy results were in. The portal indicated "No results pending". I called Advanced Dermatology to check if the biopsy request was sent to Quest. Dr. Kim's assistant told me that the lab request was put in the Quest outbox, but she didn't know when it was received nor was she going to find out. She argued the need for me to know if Quest received the request and told me to call Quest myself. She was abrasive and disrespectful. When I contacted Quest, I was told to call the provider for information.
Today, I realized the utter lunacy in trying to get adequate medical care at Advanced Dermatology and canceled my appointment to get the infected biopsy site on my face treated. The support staff at this clinic are hostile and inept. Dr. Kim was polite and seemed to be competent, but is not worth risking my health in the hands of her staff. Worst service that I have ever experienced in a medical clinic.

Doc Adam is thorough and always had a nice greeting.
That to me shows he cares about the patient and not numbers.

I have been a patient and also brought my son in. I have been disappointed with most of my experiences. From having to wait way past when my scheduled appointment time is, to constantly receiving bills after paying in office. I was not told that I would be billed for outside services, and just generally have felt they have hidden the actual cost of things and not telling me services they suggest are not covered by insurance or my initial payment. My son is very insecure about a birthmark on his head. I paid for the initial consultation where instead of dealing with the problem we came in for the doctor suggested instead we have other things looked at. We scheduled a day to have it removed and when we came and waited an hour to get in we were told they didn’t want to do that. We were then given the referral of another doctor and when I called he hadn’t been working for more than 10 years. I had made a promise to my son that we would have it removed before he started middle school and he even got his haircut that he previously used to hide the mark. He was very distressed having to go to a new school with the birthmark now more prominent. After I was done with them and decided to not return I received another bill which motivated me to leave a review about my frustration.
I absolutely do not recommend this office. I have never felt like they cared much about me as an individual and every visit was more about selling me other services that I didn’t come in for.
My experience with phone operators/medical asst literally have no idea of procedures and major questions that a patient needs to know. Made an appointment based on the info given. Asked Med operator about procedure and said, yes we do that. After paperwork and drove 25 minutes ...they DO NOT do that procedure after I repeated myself many times to make sure! Please train your employees!
Dr. Foo and Angela in the Henderson Office were great when I have gone in for treatment. Dr. Foo was very caring and knowledgeable with me!! The reason for the low rating is due to a billing issue that has continued for almost 2 months now. I have called and emailed the billing department and office manager countless times for weeks now in hopes to getting this resolved but they are still saying I owe money. I had extra money sitting on my account, this was confirmed by the office manger herself. I overpaid on my last appointment. (EOB clearly showed that) My bank debit statement shows that I paid what was asked upon leaving the office. I requested a refund check for the extra money on the previous appts which I did receive, thank you but are still being told I owe for my last visit. When you say you can see I paid, when I have sent in a screen shot of the debit payment that was an OVER charge and still can't get the bill cleared up , this has past the point of ridiculous. I am writing this review to let people know that I have called in the mornings, called at lunch, emailed, called another office in another state multiple times just to try and talk with a new office manager. I have seen an office owner respond to other reviews. Hopefully I will hear from this person to resolve this. Please get my contact info. from my chart and contact me. I would appreciate it.
I see Dr. Kim at Advanced Dermatology. The front desk is professional and efficient. The medical staff is the same. Dr. Kim listens to me and explains what's what and gives me a choice about what to do next. This is a positive change from past experiences. I highly recommend this doctor.
Some of the most friendly and professional staff in any profession I have delt with for decades. This includes front desk staff but especially Leslie and Adam Harkiewicz. Both have exceptional manners and made me feel like family. Thank you.
Very organized office with plenty of staff to feel welcome. Dr. Fu is very knowledgeable and throughout dermatologist. She does not miss a spot inspecting all skin. She educates and explains on what to watch out for. She was able accurately diagnose the rash I had and prescriber proper treatment. It would be hard to find a better dermatologist.
Office reminders and communication is on point too. Easy paying system.
Parking usually looks pretty full but there are always some spots further away from the entrance.
