Read good things about this place and glad I did, because I loved it. Their pizza is top tier in my honest opinion. From west michigan and I always make it a thing to try some good pizza AND good BBQ wherever we go. This place hit it for me!
The thick crust (Scilian) pizza is my favorite. The toppings are very generous. The salad and dinner portions are significant. The beer tap selection is extensive.
Hands down the BEST pizza I have ever had! Their sauce is absolutely incredible. Atmosphere is cozy, they have made the best use of space for max tables possible and they have a good selection of beer on tap. Service was good but not excellent. The sauce is a bit spicy - drink refills would have been great. If we are ever in town again…we will definitely stop!
I placed a delivery order tonight. One of my pizzas was missing the pesto sauce (it was a specialty pizza that had pesto instead of marinara). I called and talked with a super friendly employee (Jacob) to get the pizza replaced or credited when suddenly someone named Chance jumped on the phone to and started saying that I was a liar and that he highly doubts there was no pesto on the pizza. I told him he could come take the pizza back and inspect it himself as there was no reason for me to call and lie about missing sauce. He then yells back "why don't you bring the pizza back and quit being lazy." His entire tone was condescending from the get go.
I paid a delivery fee for a reason and generally if an item from a restaurant is made incorrectly, they fix it. I again asked him to either fix the pizza correctly or give me a credit or refund on that item. He told me he's not doing anything because I'm a liar.
I asked him to please let me talk to a manager and he told me he was the owner then hung up on me.
I called back and spoke with Jacob again who wasnt able to fix the pizza or issue a credit/refund because chance was the manager on duty but definitely not the owner or general manager.
If he hadn't been such a jerk, it wouldn't have been that big of a deal but now, I'll escalate it and hope that Chance has the day he deserves.
Pizza was delicious and not too expensive. It was a bit loud inside and parking was a bit challenging since it’s located on a one-way road. Beer selection is excellent!
I came with the family, 6 of us.
My wife made the best observation: It's rare, post Covid, to have young employees AT ALL, let alone have good ones. These employees, she noted and I agree, were willing to serve, did it with a smile, were working diligently and our server was interesting, interested, and happy to do his job.
That said, the food was awesome! We are from outta town, but THAT is good pizza!! I really wish it was in our area, I'd pick it often!
I have to say this is my first visit to this location and they had a clean environment , prompt seating, the waitress was amazing!!! and the food is out of this world. Best pizza I’ve ever eaten best fries we’ve ever ate, and we definitely recommend coming here over any other pizza place! this joint is going to make every other pizza place laughable.
The college-aged staff clearly didn’t want to be working on a Friday night—they gave so much attitude. This was my first time trying the pizza, and I wasn’t a fan. It tasted like it was made with the cheapest ingredients; I’ve had better frozen pizza. I finished one slice and ended up throwing the rest away. Giving 2 stars just for the location and the decent vibe inside.
