very comfortable upgraded rooms. location is perfect. 1 block to the beach and Tybee pier. lots of restaurants and bars within 1 block. the staff were great! I enjoyed the heated pool. the room has a rain shower which was a first for me. free parking vs $4 per hour on the street. 300' to a great breakfast spot.
Well after reading some reviews after we left we saw we were in the same cycle. Hotel is in a good location. Employees were very friendly and helpful. We moved over for the night from the River Front to stay here last minute choice.| The good walking distance to several places to eat or grab drinks. A small grocery up the street. Pool was nice and clean. Again the employees very friendly. Beds comfy and I want to say newer.| The bad, TV in room did not work. Looking back at the reviews another guest had this same issue and we were given the same response. So we changed rooms. Once again new room but the safe was busted it was also in the reviews.. No breakfast and has not been in a while. No laundry on site. Rooms are very dated and smaller. There also is not an elevator. Make sure to pull your door closed they do not close all the way when you leave. Nightly prices are far more than they should be for a hotel of this type. We paid 190 taxes and fees. It should be about 120 - 140 max. When leaving overheard another guest complaining about more issues that are also reviewed from an earlier date The place has potential but some things need to be addressed. They also need to realize they are not a 200 a night hotel regardless of location. If you happen to be a smoker be forewarned they do fine you 500.00 for smoking anywhere in the hotel or pool area. Signs are posted, However in writing it elsewhere it says 150.00. Either way it could cost you. Interestingly. Saw on our check out ticket that if you leave the room nasty they can fine you for that as well. So you better be a clean person.
No complaints here. The room, lobby, and grounds were clean. Bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well, shower was nice, microwave and refrigerator worked, and we loved the location. We have stayed farther down the beach before but I would choose this hotel again because I liked being able to walk to everything. It's right across the street from the pier, restaurants, and shops.
WAY overpriced. Looks like they started renovating and stopped. Rusty hangers so could not hang up clothes. No soap dish and cheap soap that turned to mush all over the vanity. No towel racks or large to hang towels. $300 should have been $125 per night. Beds were comfortable and employees nice.
Fair warning- it does not look like the photos. We almost didn’t stay when we went in. The room was dirty, the beds were so hard I couldn’t sleep, tv remote didn’t work, and the front desk person when we checked in was MIA. Turns out she was sitting in her car… eventually came in when she noticed our car in the lane out front, but then immediately went back to her car after our check in was complete. Great location though.
This stay was for my 50th Birthday. There were three of us. You cannot smoke or vape inside the motel, the rooms, or the pool. There is a $500 fine for doing either. I don't vape, but I do think that's a ridiculous rule for vaping. Everyone is starting to not allow it though. They own the establishment so it's their right to say no. I just didn't see that advertised. Wanted to warn others. You can't smoke or vape on the beach either! Once again, ridiculous for vapes. I can understand not allowing the cigarettes, because not everyone cleans up the butts when they leave. I just don't understand punishing everyone because some people are rude. You can't get a better location if you want to be close to Wet Willies, and the pier for a better price. I have severe knee and back problems and cannot walk or stand longer than 10 minutes. I was even able to walk to those places!! It is close enough to get to the corner of Tybrise street. Then there are benches and tables and chairs scattered all along that street to stop and rest. The staff are amazing!!! When I called to reserve a bottom floor room, I was greeted on the phone by a sweet lady. Then they called me back two days before our stay to make sure we planned to still arrive. That call was from Taylor. She was super nice and helpful! When we arrived early, our room was ready. Rita is very sweet and she welcomed us. The ONLY complaint I have is that we stayed in room 107. When we walked into the room, it smelled very musty. We got nose blind to the smell as long as we were in the room. When we came back from our day, we smelled it again. My clothes smelled like it when I brought it home. I know that sounds terrible but they can work on that. I would absolutely stay here again!!! I feel like this review may turn some away. Don't be so picky! Go enjoy and I'm sure that problem will be resolved just because of the staff we encountered.
I understand that this is a resort town, but for 250.00 a night I would expect a much cleaner place.|| The drawers were dirty inside, the remote was sticky, the sheets were stained, the baseboards were caked with dirt too. The pool was very disappointing as well. It was murky, full of sand and dirt and just seemed unhealthy to swim in.|The location was great. We could walk to nearly everything. Unfortunately, I will look for other accommodations on our next trip there.
So happy we booked here! Great rooms, excellent location walking distance to food shops & the beach! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, a microwave, big fridge, and the beds were very comfortable. My husband and I both struggle sleeping in hotels but we both slept comfortably with no issues and very little noise of other tenants nearby. Great soundproofing I'd guess.
Will definitely stay here again!
