Our room has never been cleaned before, and if it has, it was done by someone without a sense of smell and vision. Live and dead bugs are plentiful, as well as mold, trash, previous guest’s hair, and a strong stench of mildew and dried vomit. I’m genuinely shocked that the friendly front desk staff can sleep well at night knowing what kind of establishment they work for. Don’t be fooled by the affordable prices and the nice, clean, and welcoming lobby. Spend more money and stay elsewhere, or else you’ll deeply regret your decision.
Was clean and very convenient by the beach and boardwalk. They took us in and gave me two rooms at the last minute and it worked out great I love the heated pool and I appreciate the service of renting the room. thank you and I may be back as soon as possible???? the rooms and property were clean and comfortable.
Location was not bad for being on street from the boardwalk, however, the room was extremely dirty and it was not just sand which one would expect. Our first 2 hours of our vacation was going to the general store for cleaning supplies and then cleaning and sanitizing the room. Microwave was so dirty we tried but could not clean it (nor could we use it). Fridge unclean, but we were able to clean that, however it barley kept drinks cool (not close to cold) even on high setting. AC was filthy and barley kept room cool even on high setting. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Sleep was rarely an option at night since entrance door was not flush, therefore, heard everything going on outside, i.e.: conversations and vehicles passing. No washcloths or hand towels. Thankfully, brought our own. It was an all over filthy suite consisting of bath, bedroom, sitting/couch area and table w/ 4 chairs.
Great location. Stayed Friday-Sunday @ $220 a night, which was no surprise as we stayed during the Ocean’s Calling festival. The shampoo and conditioner in our room was used and just about empty. There was just enough for one shower. The room also stank like something old and wet and it was crusty in there. I was kinda butthurt when housekeeping came knocking at 10am on check out day to rush our checkout. She was also rude about it. Checkout is 11 so chill. Idk I stayed at the comfort inn the Thursday before and so nice there maybe that changed my perspective a little.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Admiral in Ocean City. Upon arrival, we were excited for a relaxing vacation, the first few days were nice but noticed the room was not fully cleaned and the ac window had caked in hair and dust but that’s n it the worst part. The most frustrating issue on out last night 3 of us got stuck in the room and our 4th was outside the door wouldn’t open. It was completely jammed and wouldn't budge, no matter how much we tried to force it open. We immediately had the 4th that was outside to get someone it took them 45 mins to get it open climbing through the window and completely ripping the handle off.
As a result, we missed our dinner reservations at a highly recommended restaurant, which was supposed to be the highlight of our evening. Instead of enjoying a nice meal, we were stuck in the room, waiting for maintenance to fix the door.
This experience was completely unacceptable and ruined our night. I would not recommend Admiral to anyone looking for a hassle-free stay. The staff's lack of urgency and the poor maintenance of the hotel are enough reasons to stay elsewhere. Wouldn’t accommodate or anything don’t waste your money on the horrible place it’s run down old gross and overall not worth it. Yes it’s by the boardwalk but again not worth it please save your money and find somewhere else.
Rooms were not cleaned, they were INFESTED with bed bugs!!!!! mold on the walls, dirt and hair caked in the shower, etc etc. Absolutely disgusting!
The shower did not work in our room. The bathroom was extremely dirty. The air conditioners were also extremely dirty. Room service only took our trash out one time and did nothing else for us. We ran out of toilet paper and they did not replace it. There was little to no parking.
This place is excellent, we will most definitely stay here again, room was absolutely wonderful, nice big porch/balcony to sit on, for people watching or taking a breather from the kiddos etc. Slight view of the ocean between the big hotels in front of it. It's only a clock off the boards and beach. If stairs are an issue they have other accommodations that are ground level. Pool was wonderful. Staff is absolutely amazing. I read some not good reviews before we booked, and I will say I didn't experience any of the bad things I read about. There's hot coffee in the office available all day. If u need anything like towels to etc just ask they'll either get it to you or meet you with it.
