Best WLM Reviews

We stayed here last July. Upon arrival I thought this was a nice place. The pool was closed for repairs, that was disappointing, however, since we were close to the beach we didn't mind. We simply placed our luggage in the cabin and left. We went
to the village and had a wonderful time! Once we arrived back, we pulled the covers off the bed. What a nightmare! Blood! That's right blood on the pillows, sheets, floor, curtains, bags of trash in the bathroom. We didn't notice the trash as the door was closed when we checked in. We complained to the front desk, they did nothing! The woman Told us to call the owner. He of course was no help either. We demanded our money back as we booked for 3 nights. They refunded our money but the next morning recharged our debit card! Stay far away from this place! You're better off sleeping in your car!
A friend stayed here.
Rooms and rates are reasonable.
Very convenient location right off exit 22 I-87
The people saying the owner "doesn't speak English" must not speak good English themselves as I had no trouble communicating with her. I'm rating this two stars because this is what I would consider to be a two star place based on the following. The curtains in our room came one per window and were nailed up so opening the curtains wasn't an option. The floors were crooked, as mentioned in a previous review. Our toilet is clogged as we speak :( my spouses sheet had about a quarter sized blood stain on it. Quite a few dirt marks on the walls. The good news is, the room was over all acceptably clean as far as the floors and bathroom. Having our own porch to sit on was nice last night because we could see fireworks through the trees. As far as what I can see for the other clientele there are other families vacationing here as well there may possibly be a few regulars who live here and there were a few bikers. I would rate this place slightly noisy however if you just pop on the AC or the fan option it drowns everything out. It's not a bad place if you know what to expect.
Only stay here if you have absolutely no other option. Children running around screaming every morning BEFORE 7 am. Buzzing electrical noises constantly. Loud, noisy air conditioner. Bed hard as a rock with no actual blanket, just sheets and a thin throw. Mold and electrical tape in shower. Dirty sheets and towels. Hair in bed and shower. Guy that cleans the rooms opened our door without knocking at 10 am (before we were even supposed to check out). Just plain dirty.
$308 for two nights in a place that seems like they could be running “other businesses” out of it. And I’m an easily pleased person. I would never stay here again.
Overall a decent stay. They were quick to accommodate our large group last minute after we had an issue at our previous motel. The toilet wasn’t working in one of our room but they immediately got us a new room. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Good price and only a few minutes from the strip.
I spent 1 night in Lake George and this motel had the best rates. I was a little unsure due to some bad reviews, but it wasn't bad at all. It was safe and quiet. It has a quaint, vintage, mom & pop feel to it. You get an actual key, not a key card. The furniture is old. It's not fancy or sparkling clean, but the room has amenities such as AC, TV, coffee maker. It's in a great location, on the main road near the village. The only downside is that the swimming pool was out of order, but you're fairly close to the beach. If you're looking for a simple place to sleep and shower without spending a lot, this is your place. If you want something luxurious, then spend 4x as much elsewhere.
The pool was under repair when we arrived, it would have been nice to know before booking considering it’s the main attraction of the place. Other folks checking in were equally bummed to find out about it.
The room was outdated which would have been fine if it was cleaned properly. Lots of dust, hair, smears/drips on walls, stains on all the curtains. Holes in the walls and flaking ceiling paint.
The room was hot, humid and smelled like chemicals and urine. The bathroom smelled like mildew and the shower curtain had mildew/mold on the bottom of it. The shower stall was poorly cleaned, not caulked well. There was even mildew in the knobs of the shower.
The layout of bathroom was so awkward and we couldn’t sit on the toilet without bashing our knees against the opposite wall. We had to keep the bathroom door open to use the toilet.
The floors looked brand new but were grimy/dirty, our feet were black from walking around on it.
The old AC was missing a knob and we had to take a knob off the fan/cool setting to turn up the coolness level. The Wifi barley worked and we had to use our cell data.
The mattresses were old, crunchy, and loud. Cheap feeling linens/towels and stained sheets—literal blood and urine stains.
The place could be so much cuter if they put effort into it but unfortunately it was the worst place I’ve ever stayed and totally not worth the price. We had no other place to go or we would have left.
Absolute worst in service. I made my own bed and walked to the office to get our washcloths and towels because no one sis anything. The.place is one step above a homeless shelter and even that is an insult to the homeless. When I asked the manager (or owner) not sure what she was about receiving a discount for the poor quality of everything she told me you should have told me when you came but you stayed so you have to deal with it. We arrived late at night and were out early the next morning. When we returned late the next evening during daylight hours - We saw. We complained. They don't care. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
