We came to Adero for a quick weekend trip away. ||PROS:|Overall, the hotel is very nice. The property was clean and spacious, with lots of opportunities for activities, such as hiking tails, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, and cornhole. Our room was nice and clean, and even though we had a parking lot view, we still had a great view of the surrounding mountains. |The pools are set against a beautiful landscape and very tranquil with built-in waterfalls. |The front desk staff was helpful, including Sumaiya who printed something for me. The engineering team, specifically Jason, was super helpful as well when they immediately showed up after my calls to the front desk wouldn’t go through.||CONS:|The biggest issue with our stay was the poolside service. It was incredibly slow (about once per hour if we were lucky) and the staff working there forgot to bring something we had asked for more than once. If you’re coming here for a relaxing trip to spend most of your time at the pool, it may not be the place for you. Additionally, because of the way the hotel is designed, while we were there, the main pool was completely shaded by about 2:00pm each day. So, if you wanted sunshine past that time, your only option was the lower smaller pool, where there were no open seats. Again, something to consider if you want to spend most of your time by the pool.
This is a beautiful property and the staff are helpful and welcoming. The location of this property is in a "Dark Sky" Community. The stars in the sky are seen with great clarity, There are telescopes set up for you to enjoy which makes this a unique viewing experience. We dined at Cielo and enjoyed the amazing views. We enjoyed our food. Nicely plated, and great flavor. I suggest you make dining reservations in advance, as it gets full quickly. The staff was pleasant and worked very hard in making this a great dining experience. They were somewhat under staffed when we were there, but they did a great job working together.
We are so pleasantly surprised with our stay. The staff is so kind and friendly. The property is absolutely beautiful! Such a calm atmosphere. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, away from the busyness, this is the perfect spot for you. The pickleball court was an awesome touch! They also provide EV charging. 10/10. Will be back again ????
The Marriott Adero is truly a combination of a hidden (actually) gem and a total escape. Just getting to the property you feel like you are in a different city, but you are still so close. Perched high on the hill, the views are incredible from all sides of the resort. We stayed two nights for a staycation and chose to not leave the property. The dining at CIELO was very good. I highly recommend the house made salsa as well as the crispy chicken salad from the lunch menu. All in all, everything we ordered during our stay was very good, with some being excellent. We booked a couples massage at the spa and the facilities are very fresh, clean, and relaxing. The staff are all very welcoming and pleasant to interact with. The only concern I had was the market on the spa/fitness level appeared to be closed each of the four times we visited it when we just wanted a “grab and go” snack instead of a full meal at the restaurant. All in all a wonderful stay and we will definitely be returning.
There's absolutely no excuse for the horrible service at this resort. I've come here three times and it is equally awful every time. I just got my chicken salad at the pool (after not seeing the waitress for the prior two hours, then waiting an hour for it to arrive after ordering), and they had charged me an extra $8 for chicken ON A CHICKEN SALAD. And she didn't bring utensils. I had to go get my own while she fixed the check so I could eat. ||Cielo service is equally bad. They charge upscale prices with fast food service vibes. ||The hotel itself other than that is fantastic. We absolutely love it. Just wish the service wasn't so bad. I'm leaving one star specifically so the management will see it and know that everyone at the pool is talking about how bad the service is, and we'd all appreciate some efforts to fix it. TIA!!
I came with my husband to celebrate my 40th birthday without the kids 6 months early and the whole staff indulged my ridiculousness in celebrating my birthday all year. ||Sharon, the manager or front desk staff gave us great recommendations for off resort dining. The massages were heavenly and came with birthday champagne toasts after. We chose an off weekend where the temps were rainy and 60s but still enjoyed the hot tub outside and fireplace in our room. I don’t think there’s a bad view in the whole place. ||I will say the dark sky telescopes were a bit of a disappointment. If the “sky sides were there Friday night, we never found them, and we weren’t the only guests who couldn’t. We tried working the telescopes by ourselves and were underwhelmed. It could have just been too cloudy to see anything, but it would have been nice to have some instructions on the telescopes. ||The food and drink were great and the view from the restaurant was awesome as well. As a couple who does not golf or hike, I’m not sure we’ll be back, but if we come back to Scottsdale we’ll definitely stay here again.
The hotel is set within the Adero area of Fountain Hills and has beautiful views across the valley. Only 3 mins by car into Fountain Hills.|They have all that you need without feeling like you are in a huge & over busy resort.|This includes swimming pools, fitness and beauty center, tennis and pickleball courts. There is a great bar, with an array of beverages. The very helpful bar staff will always help with a variety of libations.|A full service restaurant and a small cafe down by the pool.||The rooms are modern and well|Appointed. All that you will need for your stay. You can actually walk out to hiking trails from the hotel itself||The staff and management team care about the level of customer service. Although the service is very good , I had a small issue and they listened and reacted quickly to ensure my issue was resolved satisfactory.||My third time here and another great visit.|I would recommend this hotel as a premier place to stay in The Fountain Hills/ Scottsdale area.
It's easy to get to, and the area is absolutely beautiful. It has a nice restaurant on site. Every morning, I get the Cielo breakfast. The wife gets fresh fruit. It has a nice bar on site as well, with lots of wine choices and mixed drinks. Some draft beer selections as well. We were finally able to get the top floor corner room this last time. You can see the huge fountain going off in the fountain hills from the dining area or your poolside rooms. Has a shuttle service... many tennis courts...2 really nice pools, and pickle ball. We have stayed here many times, and it has gotten better each time with the hospitality and service. I'm sure I'm missing something that they offer.
