Best WLM Reviews

We were staying right across the street at the Hilton Gardens Inn and we needed something to eat so we decided to walk over to the sports bar. Of course we knew it would be a little loud and it was. This is one of the largest sports bars I’ve ever been to, there was indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, they did not have enough weight staff to accommodate all of the seating. Also, bigger is not always better. We ordered the nachos. We were served an entire platter of chips with an assortment of toppings, but they just were not good. Yes, they’re were cheese and some sort of meat, olives, jalapeños and sour cream. Nothing was seasoned. Everything tasted like it came straight from a can.
First off, yikes. There are so many other fantastic places to eat downtown with much better food. The Addys balls were some of the worst things I’ve had in a long time, and the burger was just mediocre. If you’re looking for a good dining experience downtown, don’t waste your time here—check out other local spots instead. Our server barely acknowledged that we didn’t enjoy the appetizer, which we left untouched. At most places, this would at least lead to a consideration of taking it off the bill. Overall, this is a definite pass.
The waiter was really nice.
I ordered the 10 oz hand-cut ribeye (medium rare) with sweet potato waffle fries and a small house salad. The steak and waffle fries were good, earning an overall 8/10.
However, I was a bit surprised that the salad was just lettuce and crostini.
I really loved the Chicken Wings. The night I went was right after I first entered my Mom's apartment (she'd just passed away) and it was a rough night but the server was quick to get my spouse a coffee that helped clear his sinuses of the smoke and decay sent that lingered in our lungs. It was dang good coffee. I got wings "Addy's Way" and let me tell you: Delicious! And the sweet potato fries were so good. It made up for an otherwise rough night.
Way better steak deal here on Friday than over at DJ's. Ribeye steak was overcooked but still way better than DJ's NY strip on Thursday. Our server was very attentive and they even have a veterans discount on the food. Definitely worth a try. Really good mac'n'cheese and chili. Lost a star for overcooking my steak and not having any being out of soup.
Tried eating there two nights in a row. First night, the staff never acknowledged I existed while waiting to be seated. So I left.
Second night, I waited to be seated, and again got ignored. The place was pretty much empty so I went to an empty table. I tried getting the attention of a few of the wait staff, but they walked right past me. Finally one of them said they’d be with me in a minute. I waited, but after seeing them head straight to the back, I had enough and left.
I have no idea if their food is good, but they have no service.
The 20oz beers come in a really cool goblet with a good selection of draft beers. They have a very diverse menu but be warned the appetizers and teasers are huge. We ended up taking home 3 boxes worth of food between 2 people. Prices are great and the service wasn’t anything to complain about for 9pm on a Friday.
Not from the area, stopped by passing through and this place is a gem.
Wraps are amazing, apps were also really good had the fried pickles. I had a small pepperoni, sausage jalapeno pizza which was also very good. Service was good, not very fast but friendly for sure. All five stars in my book for a visit to Omaha.
